Valeriu is an exceptional man, and so is his son. The food was excellent. They are very helpful and kind. Although it is by the railway station, the place is rustic and in a very nice semi-rural location. Cute and friendly dogs. Good parking facilities. Well equipped and pleasant rooms. Excellent value for money. If I am in Giurgiu I will always stay there!

The place is charming.

The place is charming. It has something to offer even though it is not on the tourist map. The Danube promenade with a multitude of floating restaurants with authentic Romanian food. The city center with the historic tower and a tour of the colorful city streets and its large commercial center and good restaurants.

Just have being there one Day. Enough. Nothing there, Nothing worth to visit. Also people walking around like Zombies. No laugh, no Spirit. Not a place to be, I know now why people from cities like this migrate to western europe.

This is a border town between Bulgaria and Romania, and the only reason we found ourselves there was to wait for a PCR test unexpectedly before crossing the border. There are fairly good facilities there, ie a Carrefour and Kaufland etc. There are also some restaurants and takeaways if you find yourself there. We went to Pizza Misu, and one pizza was great, one not so good, but amazing value for money (around £6 for 2 large pizzas!) Like everywhere in Romania and Bulgaria, there are many stray dogs and so it is not very pleasant to walk around with your own dog, but it is interesting.
