Super Clean, the spa is getting cleaned every single morning, the room are well build and designed to fit in everything perfectly. The closets are huge. Exceptional Breakfast and the stuff is super friendly and helpful. You can compare it to Balvanyos, but if you take into consideration the price for what you get, Hotel Roman is the winner for sure!

First of all the location is close to the mountain and very quiet, very suitable to take a break from the annoying urban noise. We stayed in the mountain cabin which is separate from the hotel but it has all the confort. It’s even better if you really want to have privacy and quiet. The room is very clean, food excellent and the stuff super friendly. There is a spa area in the hotel, but we didn’t try it. The are some nearby attractions, like the cable car in Borsa, the Merry Cemetery in Sapanta, the Horses Waterfall and many others.

Very nice place with charming, full of flowers, backyard with two big gazebos for meals, including the main one with a grill and many other things listed in the offer. Also coffee from the coffee-machine always available. Moreover a beautiful view from the backyard to the highest peak of Rodna Mountains = Pietrosul Rodnei of 2,303 m. But the most significant is a warm hospitality of the landlords.

The host of the house Maria takes care of the household members in an extraordinary way. She is very hospitable and kind. Her cuisine tastes great. The meals were some of the best I've eaten. The rooms and dining room are comfortable. You can use the extensive area around the house, lawn, gazebo, little lake, etc. The yard ends with a river where you can relax.

The owner was really helpful, and we especially liked the poster on the bedroom door listing all the nearby attractions, which helped us plan our trip well. Baia Mare is a nice city with a a small historical center which whorth it as a city break in the region. I have arrived and left here by train. Don't be scared by the train station, the city is different.

Vișeu de Sus is a very good choice for a successful vacation...

Vișeu de Sus is a very good choice for a successful vacation, because: you can walk with Mocanița(steam-powered locomotive), you can hike to the Horse Waterfall, you can visit the Bârsana Monastery or the Merry Cemetery in Săpânța. In Vișeu you can find generous gastronomy and, especially, delicious homemade cakes, fabulous croissants and great coffee, at Cofetăria Arthur.

Borsa was previously the center of Marmarosz mining region.

Borsa was previously the center of Marmarosz mining region. The town developed mainly for miners was not beautiful. If the authorities of Borsa wish to transform the town to the touristic centre, the city must completely be renown. The renovation of old architecture is necessary. Open electric lines along every street must be cancelled, and all cables should be nested under the ground. Much more operations must be done to transform Borsa into a genuine touristic centre. Touristic resorts mus possess a unique and specific atmospere to attract domestic and foreign tourist.. I suggest the authorities of Borsa to visit Mayerhofen in Austrian Tirol or even Zakopane in Poland. At present time Borsa is attractive for those who are interested in mountain hiking. Greater numer of pathes should be marked, and kept in good conditions. Detailed maps of Munti Rodnei should be available.

It was our favorite town out of the near ones we visited, a great hub for visiting Barsana Monastery or the Merry Cemetery in Sapanta and everything else to see around there. We stayed 3 nights and it was perfect for a relaxed pace to visit the Maramures area.

Moisei is a cute mountain village located in Romania's Maramures region. It is home to the Moisei Monastery which is well worth a visit. The area is very scenic and nearby hiking trails lead in the Rodna National Park. For some real fun, bring your ATV. The area is full of wonderful scenic views of the valleys, pastures, forest, and mountains. Sunset was especially spectacular.

Our stay here was simply outstanding.

Our stay here was simply outstanding. The accommodation is designed in beautiful traditional Romanian folk style – everything was clean, new, and absolutely charming. Parking was perfect for motorcycles, safely inside the courtyard. The host was amazing – he spoke excellent English, and in the evening we had a great conversation about his country. He even offered us his own homemade pálinka without asking for any extra payment. We enjoyed dinner on a gorgeous terrace, where he had prepared plates and cutlery for us free of charge. In the morning, as soon as we woke up, coffee was already prepared without us even having to ask. And just 10 meters from the accommodation is the famous Merry Cemetery, which we could enjoy all to ourselves early in the morning. A perfect place with true Romanian warmth and hospitality – highly recommended!

Close-by an annual festival held between 2 counties, Hora la Prislop, it's the reason we visited the area. Anyway, being a mountain city, it's a perfect location for starting hiking trails or for winter sports.

Narrow one lane Road leading to the village. I was praying there would be no car coming in the opposite direction.To get to your property you may be on gravel Road. Keep this in mind when you plan your village stay. If you stay does not include food, make sure you grab some food before you head out to your hotel.

We spent one night in Sapinta to visit the Merry Cemetery, and stayed and ate at Plai cu Peri which was excellent. Would have loved to stay an extra night for more down time but you really only need a day there. The Merry Cemetery is really beautiful and definitely worth visiting. Go early before it gets too busy.
