SwitzerlandIn my opinion, this Hotel has the best SPA Area I have seen in this region. The Pools are very big, and they are kept at a high temperature constantly. Sauna is always on (during the operational hours) and it has a lot of room (compared with other hotels where they would turn it on for 1 hours and only if we booked it). The entire SAP was kept clean and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Very hospitable and welcoming staff, willing to help and make your stay safe and enjoyable. We appreciated the opportunity to experience the Spa with different types of saunas and steam rooms, with pools indoors and outdoors.
The outdoor bar was open and there were plenty to choose from, including hot or cold beverages and ice creams or smoothies.
The rooms were clean and spacious, with TV aerial and access to online platforms such as Netflix or Prime.
The food, cooked by Chef Ionut Laba, a competitor in the Chefi la Cutite, cooked delicious fresh food for everyone, even for fussy eaters. Thank you to the kitchen staff and to the restaurant staff for the way they served us with a smile on their faces, even on 40 degrees weather.
The dining area was indoors and outdoors, with the possibility to see the beautiful countryside landscape or stay indoors where air conditioning was available.
The parking was free and there were plenty of spaces available to use.
The bar was 24/7 with possible drinks available late at night.
A beautiful location on top of the hill with opportunities to explore and extend your stay.

Very nice family run place where you feel imediatelly very welcomed and taken care of. Ideal for families as there is playground, pool, football/basketball possibilities, cat and dogs(our daughter adored). Owners serve wonderful home cooked food many of what is growned in their farm. Room was spacious and very clean. Not to forget wonderful view around. Beautiful waterfall nearby if you are into nature and hiking. We had a wonderful time and would come back.

Room was very clean, staff was very sociable, especially the lady from restaurant, Luminita. I was really impressed with almost everything. Maybe spa area could be improved with an extra pool. Also menu to the restaurant could be improved . But we really loved every moment.

Visit touristic attractions from the area, like Cozia monastery built in the fourteenth century.
The restaurant from hotel Caciulata is a good place to eat, there are other places to eat, like Hanul Cozia.
Many large thermal water pools, indoor and outdoor.
Many attractive places for hiking, be aware for the black bears in the surrounding mountains.

A nice and cozy city in the mountains, within 1-2 hours...
A nice and cozy city in the mountains, within 1-2 hours drive to multiple ski resorts (Transalpina Ski or Paltinis). The city has all the facilities of big cities, but is small and not crowded. You can spend time in restaurants, coffe shops or malls, or you can go to different spa resorts that are near by (within 15-30 min of driving).

Smoking policy missing and any moment a heavy smoker can seat next to you and destroy the moment. Dedicated smoking areas on terraces and pool areas is a must.

Caciulata is a gorgeous resort, with friendly people, many restaurants with terraces and live music, traditional and incredibly tasty food. I recommend the Camelot terrace which also has a hot water pool.

Nice tranquil small mountain town.
Nice tranquil small mountain town. I like it best during the autumnal season when nature develops lovely shades from light green to yellow and brown to reddish.
You can take long walks on along the Olanesti river, up to Comanca monastery and natural water springs.
Don't miss out the quick train voyage up to the lotus lake. (have cash with you to pay directly - 15 Ron) and the wooden church Saint Pantelimon.

Good for skiing in Domeniu Schiabil Transalpina , anything else dont much things to do , hard to find a good restaurant , they’re to far , and note that if u get in Voineasa with car make sure u go with full tank , as the closest petrol station is 48 minutes far from Voineasa , Pensiunea Edelweiss is good for food and staying !

We came to Brezoi for the Open Air Blues Festival. It was a great event. We wanted to book accommodation at
"Motel Vatra Bunătăților" for next year, and we did so on the last day of the event at a reasonable price. Booking confirmed the accommodation that everything was OK. The accommodation then started sending us blackmailing emails telling us to cancel our accommodation immediately because they would not allow free cancellation later, and this was stated in our original confirmation. Until then, they threatened us that we would cancel the accommodation booked for 2027, which they had already sold to others at double the price. This was the essence of the matter, that we, who booked on time and quickly, would cancel our reservation because they knew that they would raise the price because this was possible during this event. But they treated us very unfairly...of course, after this, we will not set foot here next year and will even talk our friends out of coming here. By the way, the increased price is also favorable, but we ca. We booked accommodation with them at half price.

Recommend to visit any of the thermal baths they have there (like the one in Central Hotel in Calimanesti) or the Aqcua Park Cozia.
The Olt river has a nice little island, with a monastery on it, worth visiting.
There is a nicely arranged path in the forest nearby, very good for a walk in the fresh air of the forest.
Nice restaurants, clean streets, neatly arranged.

The place is underrated, has so much potential.
The place is underrated, has so much potential. While I traveled many times through it, I never stopped for more that a few minutes. But I discovered Rm. Valcea as a clean, cozy and pretty well structured city. It definitely deserves at least 3 days of staying to discover its secrets.
