Absolutely fantastic hotel. I would consider no where else returning to Stockholm. The room was simple, and comfortable. Excellent quality toiletries provided. During our stay Stockholm was coated in snow and rarely did the air temperature exceed 0⁰. In contrast our room was a constant and comfortable temperature. The breakfast which is included in the stay is incredible value, and by far the best buffet breakfast I have ever had. The streaky bacon and triangles if french toast kept me going, my girlfriend was delighted with the healthier side of the offering as well. We intended to dine in the hotel once during our brief stay but ate their twice in light of the quality of the food. We had the haddock, artic char, and we both indulged the classic Swedish meatballs. All was delicious. The staff was incredibly courteous at all times, especially in the restaurant, our servers were amazing. Upon our departure at 6am we were greeted with a warm smile and complementary coffee to go, we couldn't have been more pleased. The location is amazing, in the very centre of stockholm. The island is beautiful and very secrene. We were delighted with all aspects of Hotel Skeppsholmen and intend to return should we ever be in Stockholm again.

Most people will comment on the design- to me, what made the greatest impression was the hospitality. Every person working at Nofo had the mentality of a host, was super friendly and accommodating, and made mine an unforgetable stay.

I liked everything, including breakfast, room, and location. In that regard, I don`t have any recommendations. Definitely, the hotel is ESG-compliant because even a Hotel Key Card was made of wood material ;) I would like to give special thanks to miss Solveig who was extremely kind and assist me with everything that I asked for. She even ordered me coffee for the next quite early morning check out at 3:30 AM, that was highly appreciated by my side :)

The best ever and most generous – in terms of bedding quality and hence sleep quality – in 30 years of travel across five continents, including numerous 5*+ exclusive hotels. Excellent and practical top-of-the-range room and bathroom specification and facilities, exactly as expected by an executive business traveller, even when compared with some of the very best hotels in Stockholm, which it easily beats. By Scandinavian standards, The Dock is certainly outstanding value for money.

My favorite part was the breakfast; there was a wide variety of delicious food, and the ambiance was lovely. I also really liked the towels, shampoo, and the room's interior design. We also saw many families staying there, and some people charging their cars, including myself.

I would recommend to travellers with pets as a very pet friendly! But do n ot expect to have your dog in the restaurant as it is possible in the UK. I am greateful for answering all of my questions to the staff. The room was quiet and the location is quiet. It has big variety of food for breakfast served from early hours for early raisers. The bed was perfect soft and pillows too. There are pilows choice in hight so its good for sensitive sleepers like myself)) Big TV where you sign it to your netflix or youtube. I did not need a view as i stayed short and was away most of the day. Bathroom is big and shower is smart. Towels are soft and cosy. There is no fridge but i you can buy beer at the reception, i dont drink)) There was a jug to make tea and coffee that was provided - nice addition that gives confort! I love a cup of hot drink after 8 hours on the road! Ah i used the gym to do m y physio exercises, i was there alone lol! Great set of weights and training machines! Quads, gluts, hamstrings, vastus lateralis et st and a yoga mats)) Really all you need!

The castle was a fun place to visit, there is the stuffed lion which is rather odd looking (There is a funny back story on the lion). The lion was stuffed by a man many 100s of years ago who had never seen a living lion so he got some things rather wrong. The town has importance in the history of Sweden, at the castle you can see many of the oil paintings which are part of the national art collection of Sweden. Marifred has a proper holiday feel for a family, there is an ice cream parlour. It has a nostalgia railway line which goes to another tourist attraction. It has plenty of good places to go for lunch or an evening meal.

Strangnas is an average size town with many amenities.

Strangnas is an average size town with many amenities. The harbour area is very picturesque in every season, the windmill, harbour and church are both beautiful landmarks. If you are self-catering there are a few supermarkets in the town centre. Stockholm is no more than an hour on the train and locally there are restaurants, a cinema and opportunity to picnic or take a hike in nearby woods.

I find it hard to be objective about the town as I came here every summer as a child to stay with my grandparents. So it is very nostalgic and emotional to come back. Some things haven't changed! I feel it is a typical Swedish town with some lovely old buildings, some shops that have been there as long as I can remember, some scruffy areas and some new developments. There are some interesting new cafes/restaurants

A quiet and safe city with a lot of immigrants. Nice city center with a promenade along the sea that looks like a river. Beautiful surroundings with lakes. I was impressed by "Torekällberget", which is not promoted anywhere, but is better than "Skansen" (which is too expensive). Good public transport network.

There were plenty of cafes and restaurants in the town.
