We liked it a lot! Very good location, next to the water & to the center, very good price for what you get! Ok breakfast, OK spa free of charge, 2 jacuzzies, 1 pool to swim a bit cold & saunas. We enjoyed it after long travel. It was easy park. The hotel is old but have a special style & dalahäst! The badroom was completely renovated! Tv hade even netflix!

Beautiful location overlooking Lake Siljan.
Beautiful location overlooking Lake Siljan. There is safe access to the water at the lakeside. Tallberg comprises mainly hotels and private residences so there is not a lot to do there, but it is extremely relaxing and probably much busier in high season. June is a great time to visit. Road links to nearby Rattvik and Leksand are good and there are many restaurants and shops in both towns. Rattvik is a lively place.
Tallberg is an ideal base to explore the Dallarnas region and not far to pop into Norway should you choose

Visited in October. Before the snow. After the summer.
Mora is an amazing place, for a dutchy it truly felt a little bit like a frontier. Endless forests, moose, badgers, beavers, otters... it's a nature lover's dream. Pretty Swedish cabins, beautiful landscapes, and everything my heart could desire.
Of course, it's right in the heart of Middle-Sweden, so the autumn weather can be unpredictable, and temperatures drop quickly as winter approaches. But that's part of the experience, and something to keep in mind when planning a trip here.
Mora has plenty of lovely places to go for dinner, supermarkets are easy to reach, and it really has everything you need. Being so close to vast stretches of wilderness is simply perfect. If you love nature, peaceful surroundings, and a little adventure, Mora is a wonderful place to visit.

Rättvik is a nice small friendly town.
Rättvik is a nice small friendly town. Good choice of restaurants for all budgets. There is a market on fridays. The beach is nice, and the pier is impressive. During our stay it was 'Classic Car week,' It was very lively with thousands lining the streets to watch the old American cars on the drive-by parade.
If you have a car, drive to the neighbouring village Tällberg (approx. 4 km south of Rättvik), the view at the top of the village is absolutely stunning.
The small towns of Mora, Leksand and Orsa are also worth a visit.

A fantastic mix of great sceneries, sports and culture with time for shopping (both Dalahästar and clothes), beautiful visit of a fantastic nature less than 20 min away, great view from the Gesunda mountain (worth the effort walking uphill!) Boatride on the Siljan lake (and/or a swim) and a visit to the ice cream boat by the lake on a sunny day is a must...!

We could have stayed another day. Relaxing summer vacation town. Clean well kept. Quirky shops. Enough food places to offer choice. No fast food outlets which was great. Lovely little Asian restaurant up a side street offered buffet . People queuing for a seat. Brilliant pop up bar with food just outside station. Cinema thought we did not see it. Super helpful tourist information centre. Walkable area . More than suitable for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility. Cannot recommend this town highly enough. We only stayed two nights . That was planned . Went to a fab concert in Dalhalla nearby
