This is a really nice place to stay in Uppsala city. The building is a traditional, high ceiling house with very nice rooms. The breakfast is superb and staff are very helpful and friendly. One of my three favorite places to stay in Uppsala.

I liked the breakfast, many options, juices, vegetables, fruits, fish, cooked and scrambled eggs, delicious cakes,.. The restaurant was really good, excellent option when it is too cold to go outside. The size of bedroom and toilet/shower room were spacious. People from front desk were always smiling and open to help you. There is a supermarket close to the hotel 3-5 minutes walking. 5 minutes walking from the train station

Everything- from five star quality meals (we were pleasantly surprised a gourmet dinner was included in the evenings) to a spotlessly clean room. The hotel had a very homey feel to it and everything was so pleasant and relaxing. We never imagined that the food would be so exquisite and we saved a lot not having to dine out. Abundant hot and cold breakfast buffet with so many choices - again we raved about the superb meals. Everything was cozy and had a very relaxing vibe. The staff were fantastic.

We had hoped to experience the Swedish countryside as we drove from Stockholm to Goteborg. This was a perfect spot for us! After we arrived, we wandered around the grounds and went swimming, taking photos of the beautiful gardens and flowers. The next day, we enjoyed an amazing breakfast and tour of the castle. Beds were comfortable and rooms had beautiful views of gardens and fields.

great university town with lots of history. go to Gustavium...

great university town with lots of history. go to Gustavium -university museum - before your trip to the mounds as that had more artifacts and better explanation of excavations. Small museum at Mounds was also worthwhile.

I liked the location is wonderful near the metro station ... a bus stop..there is big supermarket Willys. There is pharmacy and thai restaurant and one fast food..a big park wirh seats.. Beautiful view from the windows of the property ..clean..organized..fresh..equipped...everything in order. I disliked that there was No receptionist No security...I was locked out the building for long time in the night and it was raining 😒..I'm not used to doors keys with codes..one old lady and a stranger helped me to open the door..after entering the code there is a button you have to press and the door will open!!! this was not mentioned in the email with directions of using the codes?!!!! Also WIFI was disconnecting all the time. And in the bedroom not working at all.

The best place to visit in summer.

The best place to visit in summer. Especially if you are a sucker for sunset like me haha so yeah stay overnight in that case. I travelled a few days back and the beaches were literally empty and so I think there are not many people around in the early week of June but probably I just got lucky. Also because it is a small town it is easy to get around. However, the overnight stay can be a little expensive for students travelling on a budget but for that just look for some discount offer going on and also book early.

Uppsala is a nice city, in the short time we were there, we saw the castle, churches, park, historical part, it is a beautiful view also along the water and the view of the bridges. We were also in the pool in Fyrishov - they only had a swimming pool open at the time, but it was a nice refreshment, they also had a sauna there. We went on a trip to Ala to a farm, where they have highland cows and Swedish fika and kardamombulle - my favorite. You move around the region with the UL app, it is worth buying a full-day ticket. If you are traveling to the airport, with the UL app it is free of charge, if you have purchased a 24-hour ticket, if you go by BUS. If you go to the airport with this ticket by train, you have to buy an "airport entrance". To Stockholm you need another SL app or a combined UL + SL ticket, which you can buy in the SL app. We would definitely like to come back here :)

I visited at the begining of July the roads were very quiet...

I visited at the begining of July the roads were very quiet not many cars but bicycles everywhere so need to be very careful as they rule the road! Lots of road works and construction going on with some roads closed which sent my satnav crazy trying to recalibrate a route. Castle is a must see destination for history and views. It's free entry and story boards are in English. Linnaeus garden and house was really excellent also.
