That was fabulous experience!!! I cannot understand, that such beautifully located venue is so "modestly" occupied. Anyway Great Fatra is unique to me, and such accommodation experience only boost my love to that mountains... To be more precise, very helpful staff, nice breakfast, location... breakfast with beautiful view, jacuzzi after exhausting hike (track are not technically demanding like in e.g., Tatra, but quite long).

We had a truly phenomenal stay — the location is stunning, the facilities are outstanding, and the service is five-star. It’s the perfect place for both skiing and a relaxing spa getaway. This trip was a birthday treat for my teenage daughter, so proximity to the slopes, a great spa, and instagrammable views were essential. We ended up staying for a week and loved it! Location: Just a 5-minute drive to the Myto slopes and 10 minutes to Jasna/Krupovo, where you can access any part of Jasna via cabin lift. Free shuttle service: Hourly transfers to Myto and back via the hotel’s own fleet, plus morning and afternoon public buses to and from Jasna/Krupovo. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. Skiing perks: Complimentary ski pass at the affiliated Myto slope. Excellent rental service with top brands and plenty of options. The ski school instructors are fantastic. There’s also a charming traditional restaurant. The après-ski vibe at weekends is great. Service: Truly five-star at all times. Nothing was ever too much to ask — whether we needed directions, taxi transfers, or room service. Food: Absolutely incredible. High-quality local produce with healthy options (excellent dairy and poultry), and some of the best homemade pastries we’ve ever tasted. Facilities: Separate family floor and an adults-only zone. A large swimming pool, several jacuzzis with breathtaking mountain views, multiple relaxation areas with fireplaces and a serene zen atmosphere. Sauna lovers will be in heaven — hammam, dry Finnish sauna, grotto, igloo, and cold plunge pools. Interior & views: Beautiful design throughout, with floor-to-ceiling windows in the lobby and restaurants. Picture-perfect views from the jacuzzis, terraces, and rooms. Stunning sunrises and sunsets. Surrounded by fir trees, the hotel feels like a true winter wonderland. Sports facilities: Technogym equipment, yoga options, table tennis, badminton, and basketball facilities.

Super if you travel with small kids. The village is very well equipped with in- and outdoors playgrounds. The is a direct connection with the waterpark; separaed entrance is insured to the waterpark. The Zoo is very closed (50 meters) to the Village.

the fascility for childeren in the complex was very good. the apartment itself was very small with no aircondition and you could not rest when you are at property. also the distance between the rooms and the restaurant was far, it could be better to put shuttel or bikes for transfers.

We went purely for skiing.

We went purely for skiing. Lovely slopes, just make sure there’s plenty of snow forecast, else it gets icy. For UK visitors it’s just over a 2 hour flight to Poprad Tatry (Wizz Air) and a 40 minute transfer and you can be skiing by afternoon if you have an early morning flight.

I believe that Banska Bystrica and the whole region is an undiscovered treasure trove. Anyone who is interested in older architecture and history will find this country absolutely fascinating. Much has been brought up-to-date, yet retaining the old country charm and beauty. The countryside is lovely and offers many recreational options. The center of town around the Barbican is easily explored on foot and all the major sites are within short distances of each other. There is an amazing exhibition all about the local mining of the area, known as "red gold", which has exciting 3D interactive displays, for young and old alike. The town is also the birth place of the famous architect Laszlo E. Hudec who is best known for his landmark buildings in Shanghai, China. There are only 2 (currently known) buildings he designed in Europe, the forest chapel at Vyhne and fire hall /casino in Kremnica. The towns of Banska Stiavnica and Kremnica and the village of Spania Dolina are all very historic, picturesque and well worth visiting. There is a traditional restaurant outside of Banska Bystrica called "Koliba u sv. Kristofa" which serves excellent traditional food in a very unique rustic building.

Ružomberok is an old industrial town in northern Slovakia (during communist times is was famous for the foul smell from its industries), and a place you still have to drive through because the expressway avoiding the city has not been opened yet...and during my visit this meant chaos with three hours waiting time because of another road reconstruction work... However, there are great possibilities for skiing close to the city and a pair of museums (but aside of that not too much to attract visitors)... The beer from its first micro-brewery, Ursus, is unfortunately also nothing to write home about.

Amazing nature and beautiful surroundings!

Amazing nature and beautiful surroundings! The hotel is very clean and feels almost brand new. There is a golf course nearby, which is a great bonus. The food in the café is delicious. We really enjoyed our stay!

The train ride to Liptovský Hrádok offered stunning views of rolling hills and river valleys, setting the perfect tone for our field adventure. Exploring the river surrounded by the majestic Low Tatras was both scientifically enriching and emotionally refreshing.

It is a small town located at the foot of beautiful hills. In town you find anything you need, shops, restaurants, etc. but the ski slopes are also accessible easily from here either by walking or by the free shuttle. There are different slopes for any experience level, they are well maintained and served by many lifts. Prefect for a ski holiday and I guess it is nice for a summer holiday, too.

Brezno is centrally located and the surrounding countryside is easily accessed. The town centre is very pleasant whilst on the outskirts there is a superb car museum. For general supplies there is a Co-Op within easy walking distance of hotel and slightly further away a Tesco.

Liptovsky Mikulas is a great positioned place surrounded by beautifull area which is worthed to be visited in summer for the great oudoors, swimming and also amazing for winter sports. Visited this place in summer but also winter time since very early age and never get bored.

Jasna resort is pretty big and there's a lot to do. The lift tickets are ~60 euro per day which personally I thought was way too much. I'm just a beginner though and the weather was really, really cloudy while I was there so on better days and a more experienced skier would definitely get more use out of the lift passes. Poiana Brasov in Romania is ~20 euro a day for lift passes and ~20 euro a day for a full ski set so my price expectations are probably ruined forever because of that.
