We had a shaky start to the beginning of our stay and some troublesome health issues (nothing to do with the hotel at all), but they took care of us so well and were so incredibly kind and caring. They really helped us and we will be eternally grateful for that. Sol Beach is located in an absolutely idilic setting, and has such a relaxed and warm feel. The staff were all very friendly and polite. Their menu in the restaurant is more western pricing but the food is absolutely delicious and I really think u get what you pay for. The smoothie and yogurt bowls at breakfast are to die for! Our kids loved the free kayaks and all the children’s outdoor games that are laid out on the beach, it kept them entertained for hours! We are already figuring out how we can come back :-)

I loved this place so much. Driving the last 200 meters up to Alisa’s from the main tarmac road brought you through local area with hens, children and lastly at the very end of the road to the garden of Eden, that Alisa and her husbond David had created with outmost care and imminent taste for beauty and tranquility. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in, besides my own back home. The peacefulness at Alisa’s was only enhanced by the occasional hens, hornbills and other birds, but besides these natural sounds, Alisa was quiet and totally peaceful. Now with WiFi, possible to rent their scooter, they can arrange all kinds of tickets, including shuttle to Bangkok or the airport with pickup directly at Alisa’s. I visited all the beaches at Koh Chang, and besides Klong Kloi at the very south, then Kai Bai beach had a secluded and intimate charm, that the other beaches could not match. Watching the bathing elephants in the morning was an experience of delight, seeing how much these great creates enjoyed the refreshment. Alisa’s is totally new and not only spotless, but also in very delicate and soothing colors. David and Alisa kept a discretion to my second daily visitors, and always made sure to be indoor when I came home accompanied. The only minor little inconvenience, is that I had to drive 3-4 minutes in the morning to reach Kai Bai beach for a morning swim, but the reward was instant, almost entirely alone on this beautiful beach with its tranquil and warm water.

Location on the beach. Very good, varied breakfast, with plenty of healthy options (fresh veggies and fruits, eggs cooked in butter instead of seed oils). The breakfast area is in open air, with the view of the sea. Friendly staff. The free activities were amazing (thai boxing, cooking class, paddle board). Very comfortable beds and cushions! Rooms were cleaned every day. Quiet, peaceful (the construction site nearby does not make noises, it was very quiet during our 10 days stay in January 2025). The friendly cats at the reception. Good priced and comfortable private transportation from and to Bangkok, organised by the reception. Every evening restaurant on the beach, with soup and salad bar included in the orders. The whole beach is nice to walk on, plenty of restaurant options for lunches along the sand. Highly recommend Vayna, very good value for money! We will be back!

The host was very polite and flexible, even gave us the key before check in time. Big room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Slept really good. You need to have a bike to go places , but we had so was not a problem.

This was our second stay in this resort. What I liked about this resort? Pretty much everything. We booked 3 beach front villas and although fully booked they managed to give us all three villas next to each other. Villas are new, modern, spacious, I have never seen a bed that large its like two king beds together. Each villa has its own wifi router which is great. There is a shower and a bath tub in each villa and that is also great. The views are just amazing, breakfast is top, so many choices. We have stayed there 9 nights last year and 7 nights this year and had no problems getting different food every day. Staff is friendly and helpful. They remodeled the pool since last year, its twice the size it was with a very nice surrounding and a beach bar. Klong Prao beach is just beautiful, no rocks, just sand. Many restaurants, shops etc. withing walking distance. But its best to rent a scooter and than you can go anywhere. You can park you scooter comfortably next to your villa or in one of many parking places throughout the resort. There was considerably less russians this year than there was last year which was definitely a plus. There is also a shop directly in the resort which has prices similar to 7-11 and sells beer all day long (unlike 7-11).

I loved it! Was there a full week and felt so at home, didn’t want to leave. The grounds are beautiful, make sure to walk to the end of the grounds to find stunning cliffs and amazing spot for sunset. The property is huge with so many different rooms/villas but still felt really calm and grounded. Staff super nice and helpful. Has it’s own little private piece of the beach with sunbeds. Great location, very good long beach that is not overly crowded and has restaurants/bars/massage spots and fire shows during the weekend. But still not a loud party scene.

You are treated like royalty from the moment you arrive til the moment you leave. I have never been to a place where i felt so welcome. Every single staff were so polite and caring. The facilities and the sorroundings were all pleasing for the eye and well maintained. The food were a treat everytime. I know I sound like i were payed to say this, but this is my honest opinion and I have tried quite lot of different places in my time.

Villa was lovely, the pools were clean and not busy, and the boat shuttle to the beach was convenient. Even when we missed the last boat, it was a quick and easy walk back to the resort. The cold jacuzzi for our villa was a great hideaway from the sun. Breakfast was a great variety and very tasty. Loved the lemongrass juice and ginger tea in the mornings

Its a small island, with long road, no larger center so all you can do is travel along beach on a motorbike (hike or visit some durian farms), or taxi if you find one. Other than that stay on the beach at the resort of your choice. During high season there is also diving and island hoping, but not during low season,

Amazing location and beach.

Amazing location and beach. Can walk out the door to the beach barefoot 50 metres away, restaurants line the beach with overhanging shady trees and shallow calm water for kids to play in for hours, beach swings, sand suitable for sandcastles, can eat, play and chillax all day on the beach having a beer on a beach chair watching the children play in the Natural Adventure Playground, and if you forgot something Bann Seamé is just a minute away.

It’s a much quieter island.

It’s a much quieter island. Most things are closed including restaurants by 9.30-10pm. Quite a tropical island, so be ready for a fair bit of cloud and storms. Couldn’t find an elephant sanctuary, the only ones we saw online had the elephants chained, so we didn’t visit. There might be one but the 3 we found didn’t feel right. Also a very long journey to get to, pretty much 9 hours from Bangkok which includes a good 90 min wait for a ferry to cross on the mini bus. No chance you’ll spend less time waiting so keep this in mind.

A wonderful stretch of beach, one of the nicest on Koh Chang to be fair. Nice and clean, quiet and peaceful. I stayed a 5 min bike ride away at the reggae place. I ate at the wonderful little shack just on the bend as you reach the beach, a mother and daughter making great som tam, Laab, Nam Tok, iced coffee etc

This island is amazing , I’ve travelled most of Thailand and loved it here , get a motorcycle and go and explore , lots of beaches, places to go , elephants in the jungle , the Thai people are so friendly, we were made to feel really welcome wherever we went , highly recommend a trip here , we stayed on white sand beach and it’s beautiful. Make sure you have some experience on a motorcycle as the roads are steep , twisty and can be daunting at first , if possible hire the 160cc bike as it coped really well with me and my wife going all over
