Everything, most unusual place we have stayed in Thailand. Converted caravan that has been renovated to a very high standard. Bathroom excellent, bed extremely comfortable. Outside seating and bbq area with firepit for cold season. Setting is lovely, right up on top of the hill. Nice restaurant and coffee shop. Food was good and not expensive considering the setting.

We have liked the atmosphere, the area, the calm. The hotel is well located without direct neighbourhood around. It's very relaxing. The suite with private swimming pool is just perfect and we'll designed. The staff is very helpful and very friendly.

Khao Kho is a gem of a place.

Khao Kho is a gem of a place. It is famous and known by Thais and zero foreigners. May it stay that way. Conservative peaceful beautiful no pubs, no clubs, no yobs, no crowds of drunk Kardashian Beckham Tommy Robinson yahoos and wannabes, its a perfect Shangri La secret. Dont tell anyone.

I wish I had, had more time to look around Phetchabun.

I wish I had, had more time to look around Phetchabun. I will go and stay longer at some time in the future. The hotel has a separate building were they serve breakfast and guest were made welcome to use this facility in the evening. We therefore, took a short walk to the market and brought food back for a family meal with the hotel providing crockery, cutlery and the use of the electric stove and microwave. We did however, make sure we washed everything and tidied the place when we were finished. You could feed the plentiful fish in the river 100 meters away which the young children really enjoyed.

From the moment we arrived at Villa Rosa del Mar, we knew this place was special. The wide ocean view, the peaceful atmosphere, and the beautiful 5-bedroom design made us feel like we were in paradise. Every corner of the villa is created with care the modern kitchen, the inspiring gym, and the crystal-clear pool overlooking the sea. Our family spent unforgettable evenings in the pool house, grilling, talking, and enjoying the great sound system. The privacy of the villa gave us complete relaxation, and the staff were always quick, kind, and professional. Villa Rosa del Mar is more than just a villa it’s a place where memories are made. Highly recommended.

It is overrated.

It is overrated. Architecture there is so ugly, fake, bad taste and out of control. Food was terrible. Most places offer Moo Krata that probably came from the same factory. Temples are MOO-TE-LU type, not beautiful in any cultural way. National park has nothing special. The officers could not even recommend us any trail. Ridiculous. There are probably some nice places out there, but I just had terrible experience.

Our visit to Khao Kho was a refreshing escape to the mountains. Despite arriving during a tropical storm, we were welcomed warmly by the local staff. We were pleasantly surprised to wake up to a sea of clouds, an unexpected and breathtaking sight.
