P'Dtai and his wife were very kind and accommodating. He gave me a bicycle (free of charge) to use for the week I stayed there, making it easy for me to bike around and enjoy the sublime ruins of Si Satchanalai. He helped me with everything I needed help with. The room is comfy and Navy is close to the historical park. There are markets on different days of the week in the surrounding area, as well as 7/11s etc., but definitely guests need wheels (either bicycle, scooter or car). All the amenities at Navy met my expectations and I look forward to staying there again. Thank you so much 🙏 ขอบคุณครับ

We loved this small boutique hotel.. its totally hidden from the outside. Its a loft style room, where we had a large bed on the top of the loft and bottom floor two single beds. Front room where we can unload our luggage. The main room had a dresser and a fridge and coffee station and storage. The bathroom was very spacious. The property had a cafe at the back which was quite lovely like a Barista and we could order any kind of coffee. They also had pastries. The breakfast was great, mixture of western and eastern food. We also had lunch here once and it was really good. The hotel has a lovely pool as the hotel has a fitness centre, which we didnt use. The staff were so lovely - they were all young, some could speak English and some couldnt and we used our language app to communicate. They arranged tuktuk for our day trips and dinner. We went to a lovely place recommended by the staff to try Sukothai noodles - it was so good. 7/11 is across the street so you can any supplies. The main attraction - the ancient city is about 40 minutes away, and it was arranged by the staff. The tuktuk driver was so nice, he took us all over the ancient city. This ancient city is a must as many dont visit here. Its a must if you want to understand Thailand's history. It will be a long day as many of the sites are all over the city, if you can do the main site, which will take you most of the day (walking around all the ruins) and seeing one of the large Buddha statues outside the main area, we were very happy with. This hotel is so lovely, it was written about in a in-flight travel magazine and we were pleasantly happy and surprised as they deserve all the accolades as they are lovely people. We highly recommend this tiny boutique hotel. Second night we walked closer to the main bridge and found a bar where all the expats hang out and found a food hall next to it and ordered food and ate on the street with plastic stools.. we have such good memories of this magical place.

We liked everything! The hotel is beautiful with attractive buildings, large, airy neutrally-decorated rooms with good quality furniture, and the gardens and swimming pool are well-kept. The beds were comfy, the AC worked well, the bathroom is a generous size, clean with good shower pressure. Breakfast was buffet-style and included in the price. There is a good selection of Thai & Western options and the setting next to the garden is very pleasant. Staff are courteous and friendly and can help with transportation queries, booking tuk-tuks to the historical park etc. Overall we had a great stay here and think Scent of Sukhothai is great value.

We had a very pleasant stay at this resort. The host took the initiative to contact us prior to our arrival and provided excellent recommendations for a late dinner in the nearby area. What we liked most was the tranquility of the resort. The landscaping and design allowed us to immerse ourselves in nature and truly relax. The location is also convenient, as it took us only about 5-8 minutes to drive to the Historical Park.

Nice little town if you stay in the old town.

Nice little town if you stay in the old town. Had the fortunate to visit the historical park in the late afternoon, which was not occupied by too many ppl. The park ticket box staff needs to be trained, as they seemed to be considering all the travellers to be visiting the park with a bike hence charged that extra 10 baht. Money is nothing but when i realised that my ticket included the bike fee, i reminded the staff that i did not have a bike, and the staff seemed rolled her eyes like no patience. There is a night market near the temple next to the historical park, which is really nice.

Sukhothai is under the radar for most tourists.

Sukhothai is under the radar for most tourists. You have to either drive from Chiang mai for the day or fly in and stay overnight. Please plan 2-3 days here! The park with a bike temple tour is so wonderful and the history of the first capital of thailand is very interesting. The town is small, but has a few local restaurants and nice food night market.

Old Sukkothai is an absolute gem often overlooked by many on trips to chiang mai and while many might visit for a day trip I suggest you spend two or three days and explore the wonderful park and the surrounding area. There are lots of amazing ruins both inside the main park and also in the surrounding countryside. There are also some amazing trees and the avenues of frangipan are divine.
