Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, Serafina Beach Hotel is located in San Juan, 3.7 miles from Fort San Felipe del Morro. With a fitness center, the property also has a terrace. This place is fabulous!!! More of an adult ambiance. Good music at the pool. Beautiful Decor, ocean view rooms habe an amazing view, very pretty and comfortable rooms, service is awesome and the restaurant is yummy.
Offering a year-round outdoor pool and sun terrace, O Coeur De Deshaies is located in Deshaies in the Basse-Terre Region, 21 mi from Le Gosier. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. We loved the proprietor, included breakfast (lots of options and delicious coffee), lovely rooms with balconies, mosquito nets on the bed (a must in the Caribbean). The rooms have all recently been renovated, they are light & airy, with kitchenette on the balcony, hammock chair for lounging, real windows (a large portion of hotels in Guadeloupe have open air, slatted windows only) , SUPER CLEAN and tidy.
Located in Boqueron, Vistas De La Bahia has an outdoor swimming pool. This 3-star hotel offers a shared kitchen. Free WiFi is provided. Guest rooms in the hotel are equipped with a flat-screen TV. This is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at the staff were amazing and my room was extremely clean and the area of hotel was safe
Coral Reef Club, a 5-star hotel, is a property located in Saint James, facing the sea. The accommodations offers water sports facilities, as well as an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness center. Absolutely fabulous. The hotel staff surrounds you with care and smiles, the rooms are gorgeous, the food is delicious, perfect snorkeling right off the hotel beach. Every moment there was a bliss.
Hotel Casa Hemingway is a boutique hotel located in the heart of club Hemingway, close to Juan Dolio beach, just 45 minutes from Santo Domingo. The pictures don't do enough justice for this hotel! It's a beautiful property combining beautiful beaches and lush landscape. It was a very relaxing environment! The staff was very accommodating. As we asked for late check out, the front desk checked availability and said since no one is occupying your room tonight, u can take your time in the check out! Really appreciated that move! Well done and keep it up and surely to visit again!
Located in Cabarete in the Puerto Plata Province Region, 984 feet from Encuentro Beach. I loved absolutely everything. The room was extremely clean and had a kitchenette and two-burner gas stove, which was really handy for dinners since the location is further from the town. Yet, the location is outstanding — three minutes to walk to a stunning beach with a ton of fun surf schools and perfectly clear, blue waves. The manager, Cooper, was remarkably helpful and really made you feel at home. I was here with my teenage son for a surf trip and everything about it was perfect!
Offering an outdoor pool and views of the sea, AU 'TI SUCRIER is located in Deshaies in the Basse-Terre Region, just 131 feet from Leroux Beach. One of the best things about staying at Sucrier was the bakery across the street which daily makes the largest and best croissants ever! Sucrier's grounds are lush, tropical and private. Having an outdoor kitchen was great fun. A gorgeous beach is only steps away. A lovely botanical garden is just a few miles away.
Grand Diamond Trinidad is offering accommodations in Piarco. This 3-star hotel offers free shuttle service, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. The room was very clean and well organized. They even put in two of everything for my girlfriend to visit, for free. The breakfast was amazing. The automatic doors made me feel so safe and the security cameras on the compound. The hotel manager, family and staff were superb. They make you feel like your at home and this meant so much to me. I loved it all!

Great place to relax and "do nothing" or participate in activities. For a family with older children, there is flexibility for each member to do his/her own thing or to be together a family. We chartered a small boat with El Tour Caribe to take us snorkeling. Our Captain (Tito) was very pleasant and we enjoyed the personalized service rather than going on one of the larger party boats. Having snorkeled at a number of other Caribbean islands and Hawaii, the snorkeling off Punta Cana was only fair.
A very picturesque old city. We felt very safe and the people were warm and friendly... not aggressive like other Caribbean islands were people swamp you to sell their merchandise or services. FOOD! There were so many great choices... We would highly recommend Punto de Vista Restaurant and Bar (rooftop, Mojitos and outstanding food) and Casa Cortes ChocoBar (Amazing Chocolate and breakfast choices)
Friday Night Jump Up was interesting. Fun music. Makes for good people watching. Really good street food, too. People were friendly but by the end of the 5 day trip, I was sick and tired of being hustled, solicited, and pan-handled. Seriously, you can't walk 10 meters/yards without someone wanting to sell you something, offer you a service (guide), sell you ganja, or beg a handout from you. I guess it comes with the territory and being Caucasian. The only way to avoid it is to stay on the resort. I haven't experienced it to this degree on any other of the many Caribbean islands I've visited but perhaps I've just been lucky. If you go to the Friday Night Jump Up, don't drive. Taxi's are easy to get and so much more convenient than trying to find a safe place to park a rental car, plus you're free to enjoy the Piton beers or the rum punch if you're not having to drive.
Nassau is the biggest island in the Bahamas but that doesn't take away from the island charm! The people are very friendly and always wiling to do whatever they can to please you. You can choose from a variety of cuisines from fast food to Italian to true Bahamian dishes. Many people choose to go and eat at the fish fry or Arawak Cay for authentic Bahamian food but I was content with the abundance of restaurants at the Atlantis. Expect to add 15% gratuity to everything, this is always added to your bill so always be cautious of this so that you do not add more unless you want to, there are exceptions however like taxi services and the bell men at hotels. The island is not cheap compared to other Caribbean islands so be mindful of this when traveling here but overall I recommend Nassau as a relaxing family vacation.
Gustavia town is a compact, attractive U-shaped cocoon for luxury yachts and high-style boutiques. Good eating options, fun bars. Wherever you stay on the island, you'll want to spend a day or a couple of nights in "town". Parking can be tight. Few buildings of architectural note, but (unlike so many Caribbean islands) there's no sleaze or scruffiness here.
During my stay I did horse riding trip and dolphin discovery and it was definitely so much fun. Punta Cana is nice and clean around resorts, but when you actually get out, the place is kind of dirty and very poor (but as many other Caribbean islands,so it was expected). Beaches are beautiful and the water is nice. Only thing what makes the stay a bit uncomfortable is that people constantly expect tips for absolutely everything. Otherwise they are also very friendly and helpful. While you are there you must try traditional Dominican drink called Mamajuana! 😉
If you are after nice beaches, this is not the place. There are many Caribbean islands with pristine beaches with smooth white sand and crystal clear waters. The Piña Coladas were nice but the cuisine isn't quite up there with other cuisines we have tried.
Old San Juan is amazing. The best town of all the Caribbean islands we visited. The Forts are a must see, and just walking the streets is an adventure. Fun shops, and lots of great places to eat. I felt safe and was not afraid even at night if you stick to the main streets. We look forward to another visit.
If you like beach hawkers, poor maintenance and "dangerous" warnings about some areas, this is the place for you. Like Mexico in the '70's, they have not quite grasped the concept of good service. The Palladium Resorts are often called 5 Star, but I would give them a 2 and a half. The facilities are beautiful, but the maintenance, food quality and service are disappointing. And...you can't drink the water. Try Mexico or the Caribbean Islands instead.
It is not the best place for travelers. The most beautiful beaches are private, all of them. There is no chance to enjoy a paradise island, except you pay for the hotel there crazy money. The people are unfriendly and rude. I would recommend to visit the rest of the Caribbean islands, but not Bahamas

I have visited many Caribbean islands and I am usually a tough one to please. Mount Cinnamon won me over. The longer we stayed, the better it got. The staff was absolutely phenomenal. They treat you like family and are there to help however they can. The location is wonderful and the beach is georgoeus. There is a bit of a walk to the beach but we found it very nice and not too far but just far enough. Breakfast at Savvys each day was excellent and drinks at the beach bar were 👍🏾! Highly recommend Mount Cinnamon.

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The property is absolutely gorgeous, and the beach is the best!! We have visited several Caribbean Islands and the beach at Royal West Indies is the best we have ever seen. We felt safe, no-one harassed you on the beach. It was heavenly!!!
