The food, live shows at dinners, hospitality, location and room were all amazing! We arrived at midnight and there were staff members who welcomed us with a smile and patience. we can't say enough nice things about the staff, from check-in to the wait staff, everyone was so welcoming and kind.The staff were all very friendly and accommodating and always checking with us that everything ok. the facilities the pool, pool bar, the beach and the view was amazing. we definitely going to recommend our friends this piece of paradise😊

Superb! Absolutely wonderful! The hotel is located in front of the beach where you can enjoy the amazing sandbank when the tide is low. While the beach is public the access is very difficult so it id like having your own private beach. The views from the hotel are spectacular. The room are spacious, comfortable and very clean and it has a pool. The staff is amazing, very nice and attentive, from the manager Peter to all the staff at the restaurant and reception, everyone made us feel welcome and at home.

I liked everything!!! The warm welcome from Ahmet and all the staff, the cleanliness of the room, the good breakfast that changes everyday 😋 the good seafood platter that I really enjoyed at lunch times (please try) and also the location (nice sea view from the rooms) The owner Ahmet did everything to make our stay very pleasant by providing us with the necessary information to enjoy Nungwi to the fullest. I had an absolutely wonderful stay at African Bungalows in Nungwi, Zanzibar. This cozy gem exceeded all my expectations. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going above and beyond to make sure guests feel at home. The food is absolutely delicious, every meal was a treat! The hotel is nestled in a beautiful garden that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with a lovely pool. And the hotel is just a one minute walk to the stunning beach. The rooms are clean, offering everything you need for a comfortable stay and the bed was very comfortable, I had the best sleep in a long time. Another standout feature is the generator so you never have to worry about power interruptions. If you’re looking for a perfect spot for relaxation with excellent food and service in Zanzibar, I highly recommend African Bungalows. I’ll definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at AVO Boutique Hotel. The beach right below the hotel was calm and beautiful – the perfect place to unwind away from the crowds. Our room was comfortable and always clean. One of the highlights was the food – every meal was delicious, so much so that we didn’t even bother eating anywhere else! The owner and the team were all super kind and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. It’s a quiet, cozy place with great vibes – we can't recommend it enough :)

    A very good hotel, with extremely kind staff, and the hosts are very welcoming and give you the impression that they are your friends. We came here with toxic food infection from another hotel, and the managers were very nice and attentive to make us feel as good as possible. The hotel is extremely close to The Rock, a 5 minute walk to the beach and can be seen directly from the beach. It's worth getting there at least once to take a picture, but the food is better at the hotel restaurant and it's not expensive. We stayed here for 4 days, during which we tried almost every food they have on the menu and I can say that it is very tasty (they also have an extremely good pizza). The bungalow we stayed in was very clean, just like in the pictures. A small suggestion, to bring adapters for UK socket with you if you are traveling from Europe. The place is very quiet, with a very beautiful beach and without much seaweed. Also, in the area there are not so many Maasai people or people who will approach you with excursions. The hotel offers you different packages with excursions that can be taken directly from them without having to resort to all kinds of locals who may not offer you the same safety or trust. They can also call you a taxi to get to different places on the island, as well as transfer from/to the airport with one of the best drivers, Mustafa. It is a hotel that I recommend with confidence, a hotel that I definitely want to come back to, where you can relax and enjoy the Zanzibar vibe that it offers you, combining the modern with what it offers you the island.

    The service at this hotel is the best I have experienced. Khadija and Salim took great (and warm) care of us, following up on everything related to us and our stay. Nicole took care of any concerns with sincerity. Front desk Ali and the others, all so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Others, like Tunu, Abu Bakr, Washa and so many others that unfortunately would be impossible to mention all their names, made us feel happy, special and made our experience extremely enjoyable. Special mention to the impressive daily atmosphere and food of Kilimanjaro restaurant. Lovely hotel, on a beautiful beach.

    Truly enjoyed the pristine beach and the laid back nature of the place. Totally enjoyed several meals at Fish Restaurant which were absolutely delicious. I tried Kingfish, Changu, Perch, White Snapper, Prawns etc. The seafood was phenomenal. We also enjoyed seeing the turtles and the artwork at several curio shops. Also enjoyed an early morning boat ride seeing the dolphins. I can't believe how fast time went by. Looking forward to visiting Zanzibar again.

    Activities are great but most places are teeming with tourists. It's probably better to be taken for activities privately (price will be about the same anyways). Better to book through existing tour operators because the freelance guides always add extra onto the price. Night Food market is a must but be careful not to be ripped off, they just handed you plates of food & then charged a ridiculous amount afterwards. Cape Town Fish Market is a must for a sunset dinner. Prison Island & Nakupenda was average, they were overrun with people. The Spice Farms & Slave Chambers are a must to understand the passed history & Coral Caves have stunning natural pools to swim in deep underground. The North has Mnemba Island, great for snorkeling. The East is windy & good for Kite Surfing. The South is supposed to be good for deepsea fishing but myself & another group only caught white Snapper, no Game Fish.

    Jerry is a wonderful Location next to the beach. We stayed there for 4 days and enjoyed it The staff was very helpful and supportive. The rooms are nice and clean. And Jambiani is a nice and quiet place to stay. Next time I would go there again.

    Kiwengwa is a perfect place to spend time with the family. Exquisit nature, kind people and the best food. Boat trips, beach activities, village strolls, getting to know the culture of local people who are very knowlegeable about the natural agriculture and extreemly kind and nice. We loved every minute of our stay at Kiwengwa.

    Matemwe is ideal for relaxing and spending quality time with friends and family. Matemwe is near Mnemba island 🏝️ for swimming with dolphins 🐬 . We rode bicycles 🚲 around the village and the place felt very safe. There are few alternative places for lunch or dinner. Not too far from stone town.

    The location is great, just a minute from the ocean, there are a lot restaurants both expensive and very local ones, no issues with electricity, hot shower and air-con and the safe box. Card and cash payment is acceptable. Very safe to stay and walk around even at night, the owner is very kind and trustworthy. Very basic breakfast but it OK, no TV and fridge in the room, internet is breaking so often especially in the room, but it works perfectly at the balcony. It is very budget friendly and highly recommend it.

We stayed 25 days at Kikoi Boutique Resort and arranged all excursions on Zanzibar as well as a Safari with Sir Alex at Kikoi for reasonable prices and with good service . Their Cook Mister Mahaveer Sing is a real Master Chef and we enjoyed every meal he prepared us . Compliments to all the people working there. You made our stay unfogettable.     This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten...

    This is not a touristy location... it is off the beaten track... a village, by the sea, with an increasing number of resorts being added. I hope it does not lose its charm to the crowds. This is a quiet, special place.
