Indiana

Indiana is best known for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and its deep racing heritage, but it surprises with Midwest charm and varied landscapes. Families and solo travellers will find friendly towns, big museums and outdoor adventures, from lakes and dunes to rolling farmland and state parks.

Top highlights are the Indy 500 in Indianapolis and sandy shores of Indiana Dunes National Park. Don’t miss the State Museum or hike along Lake Michigan. Stay in Indianapolis for museums, Bloomington for culture and Brown County trails and Michigan City for beaches galore.

Was a very nice location, got there and was welcomed by the staff very well- even with them switching due to their shift patterns, each one felt like they were there for you first. All were extremely welcoming throughout the stay and kept a high standard of customer service. I added my Girlfriend on the day as I was going there to stay with her and there were no quarrels, simply signing a piece of paper extra with her name! No charges thanks to the room being able to house two already. We even had a jacuzzi in our room, which I forgot I'd booked! It was a nice little thing, fits two somewhat comfortably if you're both of around average height. The area it's in is great for wanting to check out Syracuse, being a 10 minute walk for the main 'highway' such area with all the food places, and even allows door dash directly to the room.

The staff was very welcoming and kind. We booked our room on booking.com and we had no issues at check in. The room was very clean, and the water park was so much fun! Lot's of staff around to ensure all your needs are met. The breakfast buffet was incredible as well, and reasonably priced! There is also a ping pong table and an air hockey table available for use at any hour! We will definitely be staying here again!

The room was comfortable, simple, and beautiful, with all the amenities we needed (coffee, microwave, fridge). There were nice local products provide in the room and several other thoughtful touches. The staff were extremely kind and accommodating. The property is lovely with several trails and a small waterfall, and the pool (though old) is warm. You can easily walk around the town center from the hotel property.

Indianapolis

Friendly town, LGBTQ friendly also - there was a Tornado warning one day, and a torrential downpour and heard some people's basements were flooded. But I was there for GenCon. And I guess because of that it was also one of the most expensive accommodation situations I've ever experienced.

Shipshewana

Shipshewana has become another Branson. If you want to see some good entertainment, this is the place to come. They have two places to see shows and some of the most popular shows are sold out fast. They have auctions and flea markets also. We usually just come to a show and possibly stay overnight. The prices at the hotels are expensive. Super 8 was over $200!

This is an incredible small city that is really showing how great things can happen if you have the right leadership in place. The parks and downtown are vibrant and full of fun things to do. The college across the river keeps it young and hip.

Noblesville

The house is centrally located and very convenient to walk to the down town area. The house was clean but could use a deep cleaning on the floorboard and floors. They were dusty. Bathroom could use a professional level paint job along with replacing the rusty shower curtain rod. (Quite old and rotting) The house offered everything you would need to stay a few nights. Would love to see them put a tv in the main bedroom.

Fishers

Clean and bright with functional kitchenette. More than we expected for a budget level hotel. An affordable stay for needing just an overnight bed for a two day trip. Only thing that would make it better would be to have a couch in the room for more comfortable couple seating to watch TV.

Fort Wayne

Not impressed with ftw. For indiana's 2nd largest city you would never know. Horrible bus service, Horrible town to get around or into. 1 flight in the morning and 1 in the evening so miss any of those and you're screwed. No train service to any other cities like indy or south bend. If you do want to take a train its stop is 30 miles from town. If you dont have a car don't visit. There are some decent restaurants but stay away from downtown because its impossible to get around.

Nashville

Back in the day (the 1990s), we used to go to Nashville all the time. This time and the last one (last year), we really didn't enjoy it. We went on a Tuesday early afternoon and many businesses were closed. We saw none of the potters and artists we used to see in the past. The stores that were open were boring and overpriced. There was one book store (A New Leaf) we liked, but we wouldn't go to Nashville just for it. All restaurants are closed for dinner unless it's the weekend. Bird's Nest Cafe, which seems to be the most highly rated restaurant there was meh -- not bad, not great.
