The atmosphere was fantastic, and all of the staff were more than helpful and friendly. The pool and bar were amazing. We had a blast out there. The only issue I had the entire time was when we had lunch at the Landshark Grill. When we were sat there were only 2 other tables that were occupied at the time. After waiting for 8 minutes I finally flagged down a waitress to take out order. Other than that, the experience was great.

There are many places that we can enjoy like Beach, Marina and night life. But I couldn’t find a spot for snorkeling in the sea. I think it would be great to have a place—perhaps an artificial cove—where one could swim in clear water.

as a native Corpus Christian, i always try to take advantage to come home and hang out on the island like i did while i was still in Jr. High and HS, and parts here and there during my college years. now even more so now that my daughter was born. so i try to come home and give her the experience that i had when i was growing up at her age. any chance i can get for a weekend during the spring, summer and early fall, i will do my best to get down there and park my feet in the sand.

Port Isabel is a wonderful bay location.

Port Isabel is a wonderful bay location. While it misses having a sea coast beach area, it does make up for that with oustanding amenities at the LIV location; restaurants are plentiful and really, really good. The area is easy to get around. There are music choices. And the beach is only a short drive away. For anyone having their own boat, or access to a boat, this would be a 5 star location.

We really didn't enjoy our stay, we had so many issues to start with the pull out bed sheets were covered in what I'm assuming were blood stains and when we brought it up to the people up front it seemed like it was something that happens often, and to top it off we had another guest that was intoxicated start issues with my family, cops had to be called and nothing was done.

The beaches were okay, but when we walked on the pier with our grandchildren, we felt the need to hold on tighter to them as there were homeless people on the piers, and we saw an old rusty machete laying on one of the tables. There was one homeless person in particular that disturbed us. He was dressed like a woman, but when we passed by him, his genitals were hanging out of his shorts. I hated seeing that for myself, but especially for my grandchildren to be exposed to that. And he was either passed out from drugs or alcohol because he didn't even stir when we walked by, although our grandsons were plenty loud enough. Not a good place for children!

Don't expect great seafood.

Don't expect great seafood. If you lower your expectation, you'll be happier. The breakfast at Andy's is great. HEB Plus has great prepared food and cheaper. I like Padre Island better than Galveston Island.

Great location to stay if you want to watch a rocket launch.

Great location to stay if you want to watch a rocket launch. It is about 45 minutes from Starbase so it is easy to drive out to see it from the Island. It was nice to have a room with a short walk to the beach and avoid the traffic that builds up around rocket launch times.

It's very easy to get around in and there are lots of great seafood restaurants. Beaches are close by and the Padre Island National Seashore and nearby Port Aransas have world class birding. Wonderful aquarium and art musem downtown. As a tourist destination, it is so much cheaper than other places I've visited which is a huge plus.
