I loved how secluded it was and how it was so modern and beautiful. The steps leading up to the main area felt like I was in Greece. The privacy of the room was amazing and omg that shower in the ocean view room was the most amazing shower I have ever used! I also loved the spiral staircase leading up to a private balcony looking at the ocean. I also loved the little extra touches they did in the room. They left a free bottle of wine with glasses, also candies and bags of chips. They gave us plenty of free water bottles as well. Once my girlfriend and I checked in they left us alone to do our own thing. We appreciate that so we could enjoy time just the two of us. It was an amazing place and we can’t wait to go back.

We loved the aqua/boat houses on the water! Comfy beds and spacious living rooms. We booked two of the aqua lodges #3 & #6 for our week long family fishing vacation. It was a huge plus to be able to rent a boat through the Marina and to park it at our boat house. Super easy and convenient. Also a huge plus is they are dog friendly and we got to bring our dog with us! He loved walking around the island and becoming friends with the key deer. They were everywhere and it was so precious to see all the fawns walking about!! We enjoyed the quiet nights since the resort is in more of a residential area away from highway 1. Super dark at night so you can view the beautiful starry skies. We Loved our stay and hope to come back again soon! Fishing right off the bridge to No Name Key was fun as well. But my favorite was watching the sun set from the bridge and watching the sun and moon rise from our boat terrace!!

It was like stepping back in time. We looked the untouched decor. The restaurant on the property was delicious and the staff was so friendly.

The location was good for getting to Key West, only 20 mins away. there is a good size fridge in the room. the view is nice, but can't enjoy it outside because of the bugs. The Tiki bar is still closed. There's no coffee machine in the room, which really is inexcusable for me. To pay $800+ for 3 nights and have to go outside to the tiki bar to get coffee, no thanks! You need to bring your own hair conditioner, and body lotion. Bottom line, I would not recommend . I didn't eat in the restaurant there, but their menu is high priced. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was grungy looking.

The bungalows are fairly new, but are not well kept you can wipe the floor with a white washcloth damp in it and it’ll be completely dirty with just one wipe in the drawers. There were hair. The bed had a stain on the bed liner after removing the sheets and putting them in the shower for the maid to wash, they never washed that bedliner. It was completely discussed. It probably would’ve left if I didn’t known it was there. There were problems with the room as far as a globe on a light in the bathroom was broken. The room could’ve use a good cleaning, but as I said, it’s fairly new just not well. Maintained probably won’t look nice for long.

Big Pine key is the equivalent of a locals restaurant.

Big Pine key is the equivalent of a locals restaurant. Not too flashy, not too expensive. 1/2 a dozen places to eat. A full size grocery store. All of 25 miles from Key west. Great fishing. Plenty of key deer. Just a nice laid back spot in the lower keys.

Cudjoe Key is centrally located to access other Keys, Cudjoe Key itself has limited activities so everything is a 15-45 minute drive but we preferred to be in the middle rather than missing part of other keys. Definitely hit a visitor center first thing as they have access to all of the tourist activities and provided lower costs than even the best coupons. They could also help book, give addresses as well as reinforce what to pack.

I found the office staff helpful and kind.

I found the office staff helpful and kind. The beds comfy and lots of hot water. Water pressure just so so. The patio outside was great. Overlooking the water was great, although it was not good for snorkeling it was good for seeing sea life! My kids took videos of lobster and a shark. Fridge was a good size and very cold. Great location = 30 minute drive to Mallory Square or Bahia Honda (maybe a few minutes less). Room was just a standard hotel room and seemed over priced to be outdated and not offer a microwave to at least heat up left overs. Free tea/ coffee in the morning at the tiki bar was great though. Room has 2 sinks, one for the bathroom one in the room which is great and the internet was powerful. We appreciated that. We appreciated being able to modify our stay (due to Elsa) with out penalty, and will stay again.

You should not book any diving trips - we did it 1,5 month in advance. At the day of our arrival - day before the trips - they informed us that the trip is not possible. The offered an alternative trip on the next day - but as we asked on the next day at 10:00 AM also this trip was cancelled. So we picked this location especially because of diving and ended up with NO dive at all. Very unprofessional.

The lady at check in was very nice.

The lady at check in was very nice. The cottage was ok floors dirty and table clothe had rips in it the rest of the cottage was clean. The Deer was ever were would come right up to you. The reason for our rating the area had a bad sewer smell could not enjoy sitting outside because of the smell. Don't think we will be back unless they do something about the smell.

The accommodations were excellent, loved the little bungalow, everything was very clean and all brand new inside. The little terrace outside was great, I would add an umbrella, but it was nice sitting outside in the morning and evening when the sun was not too hot. Another suggestion is to put curtains on the windows, since it’s very bright as soon as the sun comes out. I would definitely come back and recommend this site. The staff was excellent and very friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful spot in the middle of the Keys.

Beautiful spot in the middle of the Keys. Relaxing and away from the hustle and bustle of Key West but with enough things that you need such as some stores and restaurant. The Key Deer Refuge is great.
