Loved this hotel/resort. We needed a winter break and took full advantage of the Aveda Spa at the hotel, the pool/hot tub and the wonderful restaurant inside the hotel as well. We explored the area a little bit, but loved that we didn't have to go outside if we didn't want to!

Upon checkin we were unexpectedly upgraded by Joshua the manager of the hotel. The suite was incredible and everything was state of the art and luxurious. It's our second stay at the hotel and it will be the place we stay at in the future.

The breakfast was great!, we had dinner one time and also was really good. It was nice that kids eat free and they ate really good which not everywhere they do so that means it was great! Location was really good, it was really easy to get to the marina, and was nice that they have playground the kids enjoyed that time, It is a plus all the options include in the rate we pay as canoe, kayaks, etc.. the staff was really nice and helpful to provided everything we needed

Great location to explore the North Coast. Wonderful hiking trails throughout the nearby area. The quite grounds afforded solitude after touring and hiking the local area. Pool and hot tub were refreshing after a warm day. Staff were very accommodating to any request or questions we had.

Very comfortable and cozy suite, enjoyed the sound of the waves crashing all night. Walkable to restaurants and the quaint shops we love in Grand Marais. Hope to visit again when we could enjoy the balcony, too windy and snowy this visit!
