After traveling from Seattle and staying in a very small hotel room there, this room was huge in comparison. The room was very spacious and quiet. We had excellent restful sleeps while staying here. The room had everything we needed, including a microwave and fridge. The location was great for our stay in Port Angeles, getting to and from Olympic NP. We didn't get breakfast any of the mornings, so can't comment on that. The staff were always super friendly and helpful. Would recommend staying here if you're staying in Port Angeles for a few nights.

The setting in fantastic and the rooms had balconies overlooking the lake. The best aspect of the property, however, is the staff. They were, by far, the nicest, most professional people I have ever interacted with at a hotel and restaurant. They were so excellent I am planning to return next fall and stay for a few days!

The room has all amenities - a coffee maker, microwave & fridge. Bedside tables & lights. A really nice easy chair. Good hot water. It's close to the ferry & the pier. The breakfast is excellent - scrambled eggs, lots of breads, yogurt, fruit, excellent muffins, and many other items.

This is a rare gem of value. I usually avoid motels, but this one was newly renovated and had a new bathtub, shower, and TV setup. The TV was a smart TV with all the apps loaded (Netflix, Disney +, etc.). Also, the heat pump wall-mounted AC was great for heating the room fast.

The rooms were easy to get to, very clean and comfortable beds and pillows. The lady at check in was so lovely and gave me information on twilight as my daughter is a huge fan. Home slice pizza is the best pizza I’ve had in my life and worth the walk down.

Port Angeles has a little of everything.

Port Angeles has a little of everything. It's closish to Lake Crescent which is an ultimate place to hike, bike and paddle board. The town itself has a couple good restaurants, a million coffee shops. The park walkway says it's scenic. The park is full of homeless drug addicts doing drugs in public view of children. Their mobile camps are a mess. No one is there trying to help them and remove them. This soured the whole stay for me. I left a city that has homeless addicts but this place is 4x as small as my city and has more addicts on the street and in the parks. This is a major failure. And there were political radicals waving signs at another park in downtown while drug addicts were wandering the streets right next to them. On Sunday when they could be in church or spending their time helping the homeless drug addicts. Not enable them. They were so focused on idiology while the world around them was so ugly. Don't make this a political post. It's what I saw and I'm being honest on what is negative about my stay. Worried about my bikes and stuff getting stollen in downtown Port Angeles. Not a good feeling.

Some reviewers are critical of the eating opportunities in Forks; it's not gourmet heaven, by any means, but there are several decent choices: The In Place and the Longhouse are two perfectly fine spots. The town has some charm (Chinook Pharmacy is a kick, and the Timber Museum is fun). Thriftway grocery is a well-stocked store, and the Ace Hardware a rich resource for outdoors stuff. And spectacular Ruby Beach, and wonderful Marymere Falls trail are nearby.

This property did not live up to expectations.

This property did not live up to expectations. There was a wedding taking place when we checked in and we were not forewarned that the parking, lawn/outdoor access and bar access would be limited or closed off. The noise coming from the party disrupted the peaceful nights sleep we were hoping for and the lack of WIFI service meant that guests were resigned to sitting in the lobby with no food, drink or means of entertainment (except looking out the window at the wedding guests having an enjoyable evening). Rooms are small and outdated and not in working order (shower door did not open/close). The atmosphere was underwhelming the service terrible and to this day, the complaints have not been addressed. For $500/nite - I would definitely look else where for accommodation in this area. It's a beautiful part of the country, unfortunately ruined by a one nite stay at this lodge & poor communication by the management of this property.

The high cost was extreme for the place especially when you are doing the cleaning job of washing the bedding and towels etc… A nice hotel is cheaper than this and they include breakfast and do the cleaning themselves.

Forks is a fun, small town!!

Forks is a fun, small town!! It has things to see for many different interests - logging, railroads, Twilight, small towns, etc. It is a great stop on the way to La Push, Neah Bay and/or any site on the west side of the Olympic Peninsula. There are quite a few nice small hotels to choose from. The stores on the main road are fun to wander through.

Highly recommend the Olympic Game Farm and the marine center on the water front in Port Angles too if you have littles. The pier where the Coho ferry goes over to Canada is in walking distance had great shops, food and an arcade, and there is beach access by tge marine center too. Our littles 2 and 4 years old had a great time.

The lot was located on Lake Quinault, which was a beautiful view. The county had maintained the walking trails to the main rainforest, etc., which provided a wonderful opportunity. As to the cleanliness of the room, it was filthy. The staff was very friendly and stressed.
