It was very clean smelling and looking. The beds were comfortable, the showers were clean and had soaps and hair wash, fresh towels, there was a little telephone booth with extra towels, toiletries, hair dryers, etc, and the continental breakfast in the breakfast nook was so cute and thoughtfully done!

Killington, VT is a great ski village and area.

Killington, VT is a great ski village and area. Great breakfast restaurants, bakery, bars and lodges in a beautiful part of Vermont, especially in the Autumn / Fall time. Many "Leaf Peepers" on the road and in and around Woodstock, VT this time of year.

First time to Vermont and we loved it.

First time to Vermont and we loved it. Rutland is adorable, however this time of year, many restaurants were closed 2-3 days a week. It was a girls trip, but will be back next fall with hubby. Shout out to Bailey’s Place for food and Trivia with TJ was a hoot! They have a designated fryer for those of us with celiac, so that was a real treat. We walked downtown trying to find as many of the murals and sculptures we could, and used Rutland as a base for all our day trips. Their location was central to them all. Don’t miss Wilson’s Castle and enjoy as many Creemies as you can find!

Everything was simply great.

Everything was simply great. We have nothing negative to comment. All was awesome. Our favorite place to eat was at our daughters and her spouse, can out cook even the best of Chefs!! It is really easy to get around in Pittsfield and soooooo many gorgeous sights to enjoy. We love to fish and eat, too🌞

Filthy bathroom, black mold in shower head, stinky mold smell in bathroom, brown stains on hair dryer, room smelled of smoke. breakfast food was inedible- sausage and eggs - I only eat protein for breakfast, eggs were sitting there for probably 5 days rubbery and greenish. Don't go there, unless you have no other option! Pool was nice!

We loved our stay in Pittsfield.

We loved our stay in Pittsfield. It was just an overnight visit to shorten our journey from Cape Cod to Burlington. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. We were traveling with our small dog and knowing that this was a pet friendly hotel made it a perfect choice for this trip ( as well as any future trips we make to visit our friends in VT). The tavern on site was wonderful! The Bartender and server were so friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious, too. I can't say enough about how clean and comfortable our accommodations were. The breakfast/snack room had a nice assortment of choices to enjoy before we resumed our travels. If we needed any extra linens, iron, etc. they were stored in a vintage phone booth next to the breakfast room to help ourselves - so cute! Very happy we chose this location.

I am primarily a Colorado skier.

I am primarily a Colorado skier. I enjoyed Killington and it is within 6 hours so I will be back. Lift tickets are only sold on-line. The pickup process is simple and fast but the ticket areas are not visible from the road. Take it on faith that there are ticket dispensers servicing every large parking lot. The abundance of ticketing locations eliminates long lines early in the morning. The resort is typical of eastern skiing. The mountains are lower (4k vs 12k) so the runs are shorter which impacts the ski vs lift time. The areas are narrower and tend more toward cat tracks than open vistas. Tunnels provide a method for one trail to cross under another and skiers don't need to worry about cross traffic. Ice can form at the tunnel exit so be mindful. Snow conditions were good the first day and, due to overnight snow that returned in late morning, we had fresh powder to deep powder on the second day. There was occasional ice but in general conditions were good to very good. In the secluded open areas among the trees the snow was knee to waist deep and very loose. I skied on Monday and Tuesday and there were few people on the mountain. The trails were uncrowded and most lifts were ski up and get on. Even popular lifts like the gondola covered chair (chute lift) had two to four groups in line at any given time. I expect the weekends and holidays are more difficult. I was there for 2 days and would have stayed longer but temps went from the 20-30 range to the -2 to +10 range. Wind in both cases. Due to a medical issue I get cold easily and therefore don't ski in really cold conditions.
