The location of the hotel was just breathtaking. I didn't know such beauty existed in Bloemfontein. The butler was lovely, charming and so helpful. I loved the extra touch of heated towel rails. The breakfast being 3 courses exceeded my wildest expectations.

I have been at the Hobbit many times now and I keep coming back. The room are great and with a special touch. the Hotel is comfortable with a nice style and well managed. You can arrive late in the day without problems And there are a couple of excellent restaurants nearby . It is a great stop on the way from Joburg to Cape Town.

The location is very close to nearby grocery stores and restaurants, which made it really easy to get all the necessary essentials. The yard itself is wonderful to have a walk around and has a very beautiful tree. Frankie, the resident dog, is super friendly and very entertaining. The room was excellent and I truly enjoyed relaxing there for hours.

Stuff was excellent and so professional.

Stuff was excellent and so professional. They went out of their way to accommodate us. Rooms was very neat and it felt like home away from home. It was just what we needed some quiet quality time away from the busy city life

It seemed fairly safe and quiet.

It seemed fairly safe and quiet. It was spring break when I was there, not sure how it is during school days. It is an old suburb, and quite close to the CBD and some shopping centers. The e-hailing service, Bolt, is convinient in Bloemfontein.

The place was excellent.

The place was excellent. Only it was s but too far from town but it was worth the travel. Would 10 out 10 recommend the place to anyone. Side note: please add extra towels for guests who book longer stays: This place is everything and more

I can’t think of anything bad to say about the lazy lizard.

I can’t think of anything bad to say about the lazy lizard. The staff are nice, friendly and go out of their way to help. The perfect place to stay if you are going to watch live rugby or cricket. The rooms are perfectly clean, and have everything you need in place, cleaned every day. Would recommend it to anyone whether on holiday or business

Peace, quiet, respected.

Peace, quiet, respected. Help always on the way when you asked. Personal kept me informed if something was wrong. Like the geyser not working they looked for another room to shower. Replace my broken fridge. Love this place ❤️

Bloemfontein is a very friendly city, and we loved our stay.

Bloemfontein is a very friendly city, and we loved our stay. Shopping centres with everything you need. Great restaurants - we had dinner at Bella Casa (in Westdene). The only issue is that there are no Ubers around - but we had our own car which was fine.

When you get in the neighbourhood you might feel you picked...

When you get in the neighbourhood you might feel you picked the wrong spot, but at the end it was not a problem at all, nice friendly neighbourhood and easy to access the rest of Bloemfontein from the area. Nice mall close and fantastic restaurants close by.

Bloemfontein is a lovely place, with a variety of shops and shopping centers within distance from each other. Mimosa mall and Waterfront mall are the two malls where all your needs can be met, there are two other malls that can do the same Fleurdal Mall in the south and Northridge mall in the north.
