We had a wonderful stay in Clanwilliam! Adele, the host, was absolutely fantastic, always incredibly kind, helpful, and available for anything we needed. The apartment was spotless and equipped with excellent amenities. We never missed a thing during our stay. P.S. We loved the rooibos jelly and all the little touches she surprised us with throughout our time there – it really made us feel at home. If we return to South Africa, we won’t have any doubts about where to stay – this will be our first choice for sure!

We stayed in Daisy cottage for two nights and loved every minute. The place and it's people are truly so wonderful, soul candy! Miriam, Henry and Aaron had been showing amazing hospitaly and the cottage and it surroundings had been outstanding in the most beautiful meaning. A few of the many unique highlights are definitely the waterfall, where we and our kids loved to swim and climb, the pool with the outdoor shower, wandering around the fruit trees and all the friendly animals, like the small horses, the dogs, cats, peacocks... And evenings (and mornings, and days...) on the terrace are just a dream, it feels like that the stars are closer. Thank you so much everyone for having us, we would love to come back!

Clanwilliam is a pretty town, and well placed for simply relaxing, or exploring the West Coast of South Africa as well as the Northern Cape. Area is renowned for ancient rock art at various sites. Perfect as a base for the Namaqualand wild flower season between August and September every year.

It was very interesting driving through the farming areas and seeing the variety of activities in the area. We were particularly interested in the cultivation of the Buchu and rooi bos. We stopped briefly at Piekenierskloof Farm Stall. We would have liked more time to be able to go into the actual mountain areas in the Cedarberg but unfortuantely had to move on. in our journey.

Lovely place to visit.

Lovely place to visit. A good place to unwind and forget about the busy city life. having sea views is always a bonus. There are enough shops to get the neccesities. Also a few restaurants if cooking is not on the menu.

Roads are in poor state. Corrugations were severe in places. If Cape Nature wants to attract visitors they need to make an effort to improve this. Normal sedans will struggle on these roads. I will not recommend the Cederberg to friends with sedans.

We have visited Clanwilliam frequently and have always enjoyed our stay there. We were disappointed in our choice of stay this time as we felt that no one other than Peter, the Malawian assistant, was at all interested in whether we were there or not and that very little thought had been put into making guests feel comfortable or welcome.

There is absolutely nothing to see in Citrusdal, according to our hosts. They sent us to Clanwilliam for the Saturday. I was the last day of the Wild Flower show, so we went and enjoyed it. Otherwise, we had to view orange pickers shopping or loitering in the streets. Not our chosen pass time anymore. If you've seen one, you've seen them all. We actually went that direction, from Cape Town, to experience the hot spring baths, but it was fully booked for the Friday and Saturday, and no day visitors are allowed. We, however got a room for the Sunday night, at a special price of R1600 for the two of us, at The Baths, some 18 km out of Citrusdal. Very expensive but superb! Albeit, also, strangely enough, no coffee or tea or refreshments awaiting you in your quite expensive suite. But the accommodation is stunning. So whenever you want to go flower watching, cart all your stuff along, the nice Westcoast people isn't giving away no free coffee :)

I really enjoyed my short visit to Lamberts Bay. The apartment was well furnished and had everything you could need. The beach is a stone's throw away and lovely walks can be taken and shells collected. Visit Isabella's at the harbour for the best seafood ever!

Serenity, beautiful, friendly people, spectacular starry nights, very cute farm animals. Loved our stay. We stayed for 4 nights at Enjo Nature Farm. Stunning place! We had lunch at Travellers rest, absolutely gorgeous restaurant, perfect wedding venue! We popped in at De kleine schuur - refreshing and a littlegem for the weary sofisticated traveller, Dessert rose and Veldskoendraai - a wonderful array of food and other goodies!

The healing waters of the spring.

The healing waters of the spring. The rock pools are so great, relaxing ... your body and spirit are renewed after relaxing in the pool or rock pools. The absolute quietness are wonderful. Each property or house is designed so that you feel you are the only people around. Love the privacy and connecting with nature. After 43 years of visiting the property love all the upgrades and that it still keep the historic buildings in such a good condition.
