South AfricaOur Dragonview was fantastic. We had an amazing holiday. The service from the management team and all the staff was workd-class. The food at the restaurant is delicious. The menu has good variety. The view is absolutely magnificent. The layout of the hotel is great. The entertainment for the kids is more than sufficient, between a rock pool, indoor pool, foosball table arcade, and PlayStation for the older kids and a very creative and fun playground area for smaller kids. You cannot go wrong booking at this hotel.

Our family loved everything about this resort. It's our third year coming and the staff, resort amenities and the chalet itself were exceptional. There are activities available for all ages and all interests. The restaurant has a good menu and the food and service are excellent. We highly recommend Alpine Heath.

We paid R17k for 4 nights at Fairways self catering and could not get fresh towels, the beds are uncomfy, the fireplace didn't work well, there isn't much for the kids to do when it's raining and cold. We booked for dinner only to be told they don't cater for kids and there's no other restaurant open. The jacuzzi temperatures are set way too high and ended up burning my skin. The only heated pool for kids gets too crowded, another heated pool for kids would be great.

The Thokozi restaurant and Deli, good food and a nice variety.
Sandra se Winkel was an experience - well worth going to when you are in the area.

This is a quaint small town village in the Natal midlands.
This is a quaint small town village in the Natal midlands. There are farmer's supply stores, amazing homesteads, a variety of schools, and with proximity to the Drakensburg resorts, and good springboard into the mountains.

A lovely village and close to Underberg.
A lovely village and close to Underberg. Really good position. The Himeville Museum was excellent and well worth a visit. A trip up Sani Pass is definitely recommended. Unfortunately the Vulture Hide was close during our stay there but on our return we'll visit it.

The accommodation was perfect.
The accommodation was perfect. Bergville as a remote town was warm and welcoming. The only main issue was the lack of properly resourced nearby amenities. We struggled with shopping for fresh produce mainly (meat and vegetables) and drinks, fixing our tyres, and there are no nearby coffee shops or eating places. Otherwise, we really had no reason to complain. We will definitely visit again.

Beautiful part of the country.
Beautiful part of the country. Short drive to Nottingham Road, Spar, petrol station. It rained while we were there so we didn't get a chance to walk around. Breakfast was excellent, staff were very friendly and the room was lovely. We missed the TV but there is one in the lounge by reception

The various accommodation options make it perfect for couples and families.
Huge grounds allow you to get away for some peace and quiet if you want, but we did not feel overwhelmed by people and the place was full.
You can either go and feed carrots to the horses or take a short drive to one of the many attractions in the area.
