We loved the gorgeous views, beautiful decor, attention to detail and the sterling service. Herolds bay is the perfect locatiom to spend a few days relaxing and connecting with nature and the perfect location to tour places along the garden route. We definitely recommend Waves of Grace to everyone travelling to the garden route in South Africa. We were on our honeymoon during our stay and Sandra and Rita were really nice, surprising us with celebratory wine and also giving us an upgrade in the room! Thanks so much!

The views were amazing from every corner of the apartment. It was modern, clean, had everything I needed and more. It was superbly decorated and really felt like home from home. My reservations about noise from the restaurant next door (Enricos) or the neighbors below were completely unfounded. With the amazing views and sound of the ocean, you hardly hear anything else. I loved every moment at this beautiful spot. I stayed in 5 different places along the garden route during my trip, and this was the best.

We stayed at the guesthouse for 1 night whilst touring the garden route on our honeymoon to South Africa. We had such a warm welcome and were made to feel really at home! The views from the communal balcony/lounge are were amazing. The room was small but very cosy and really nicely decorated. So many little touches which made it feel so homely. The breakfast was the best we had our whole trip. thank you so much! The guesthouse is a 10 minute walk down the hill to the main hub of the area.

The accommodation is really upmarket, clean, large enough for a small and close to the beach. Everything we required and more was available for a great self-catering holiday. The accommodation is close to shops and some of the best restaurants South Africa has to offer. Being centrally located on the Garden Route, Plett, Knysna, George, Mosselbay is within an hours drive. Nothing really bad can be said regarding the accommodation and Estee is a wonderful host.

beautiful hotel, lovely staff, they really go out their way to serve you. the grounds are stunning. location is perfect between Knysna and plett bay, so great for day trips left and right on the garden route. our room was huge and looked out to the pool that was backed by a pond and trees. stunning. we were travelling with a baby and she even got a real cot! we also got to enjoy a private space in the wine cellar for dinner. would come back again!

We stayed for one night whilst touring the Garden Route during our honeymoon to South Africa. The guesthouse is situated at the top of the hill which was a steep drive, but gives the most amazing views of the Knysna lagoon. Our room was stunning and the view from the balcony was our favourite part. Couldn’t fault the toon. The guesthouse has a lovely swimming pool which we didn’t use but would have done if we had stayed for longer.

This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip through South Africa. The accommodation is amazing and there is so much to do around the island as well. Waking up with zebra’s in front of your window has something magical. There is a beach bar and a lot of water activities to do! The manager Celestine is amazing and helped us out with everything we needed! This is a must do when you are travelling the Garden Route!

The host was so sweet and welcoming. The house is the coziest house we stayed at along the garden route. it is very clean. It is located on leisure island which is very safe. The homemade breakfast was the best we had during our stay in South Africa (homemade eggs, flapjacks, fresh fruits and more). The house is located right infront of the water bay where you can have the most peaceful walk.

We stayed here whilst touring the Garden Route as part of our honeymoon in South Africa. The hotel is in the perfect location. lovely walk along the beach/around the lagoon. A couple of good eateries are a 2 minute walk across the beach from the hotel. Our room was lovely with a balcony overlooking the lagoon. For breakfast there was a good choice of cooked meals!

What a beautiful apartment. Spotlessly clean. Very well equipped. Excellent air conditioning. A fantastic view. Very spacious, it was like renting a house. And Tony the host was fantastic. We were originally only booked in for three nights but extended to five it was so good. The best accommodation we have found on the garden route.

Louis was a wonderful host and left us a letter with good food and things to do in Plettenberg and the garden route. The property was in walking distance to groceries, shops and restaurants. There was also secure parking and the apartment itself was wonderful! We are so grateful to have spent time at The Joneses!

We loved our stay at the Lofts! The location on Thesen Island was quiet but walkable to restaurants and shops, and centrally located on the Garden Route. The view of the harbor from our room was amazing, and we had a lovely breakfast outside at the hotel restaurant. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

phantastic location, possibly the best view along the Garden Route in South Africa. Very nice and friendly hosts. Happy that such small businesses are still on the markant after 2years of COVID crisis. Hopefully many more guests will visit this beautiful guesthouse and support them.

Well equipped apartment at Leisure Island (best place in knynsa) with modern and very nice Interior desgin! Better than on the pictures. Bed is very comfortable. We spent four weeks garden route from CT to Plett with many stays, this was the best apartment!!

We have been frequenting the Wilderness Hotel a few times a year for the last 7 years. It’s is truly a gem on the Garden Route. Great staff service and facilities. The best breakfast buffet! We will be back soon again.

An old style hotel handy if doing a game drive at the nearby Garden Route Game Lodge, with friendly helpful staff, good food and drink choices. Parked at area to rear of property.

we had a great stay at the Mountain Breeze log. the Apartment is good equipped and very clean. the wifi works well! thank you for a great overnight stay on the garden route.

our favorite place to stay when we come to the garden route! The restaurant’s at the hotel are fabulous and their breakfast is awesome!!
