Gorgeous bungalow in an amazing reserve where you can hike alone, as there are no predators (though leopards may visit at nighttime). Fabian was lovely, as was his French cafe in town. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Unembeza's Villa Mbali, a beautiful property just a short walk from the main lodge. The cabin was right by the main house, but felt private and secluded. It was tastefully decorated and well-stocked with amenities, including homemade cookies and an indoor/outdoor shower. Each morning, we found different animals venturing through the property: monkeys, warthogs, kudu, and guinea fowl. The lodge staff were warm and hospitable and helped us organize fun outings to visit Kruger and the Panorama Route and explore the neighboring wildlife reserve, where we saw giraffe, zebra, impala, waterbuck, and lots of birds. We had breakfast and dinner at the lodge each day -- and the meals were fantastic. Overall, this property exceeded our expectations. I'd definitely recommend it!

Tomjachu Bush Retreat was a beautiful and peaceful escape. The dinner was lovely, and breakfast was excellent every day – thoughtfully prepared and full of flavour. We stayed in the Keeper’s Cottage, which was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with everything we needed – plus the lovely touch of a hot water bottle delivered each night. The views were stunning, and we loved the beautiful walks and wildlife right on our doorstep. The staff were warm, helpful, and made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay.

Everything was amazing except booking through Bookings.com. I placed a booking 5 months ago for 6 adults and Bookings.com only placed an order for 4 adults. This money was also paid 5 months ago. This also happened to 2 other families that booked through Bookings.com. I think it's only fair that Bookings.com pay the difference as this is their mistake. I will never use Bookings.com again.

The 3 Chalets were very comfortable and great for our group. We loved the pool and braai area and spent the evening outside. The walk to the river was lovely, and breakfast was excellent. The lodge is in a very scenic location and a short drive to the Blyde River Canyon boat launch. We had a great time and would love to go back!

Bring a sun screen, shades and a sun hat. You will need it. Visit Gods Window and the panorama route you wont regret it. Atleast they are few LGTBQ people. A place worth growing your kids without polluting their minds.

A great location for some rest and relaxation.

A great location for some rest and relaxation. I went on a Big 5 safari game drive, and got to see the animals up close. I also had a heavenly spa experience at Karuna, and visited the nearby reptile park to see some rare snake species. Lots of restaurants around to try out a variety of meals, I went to the Club House and had tasty ribs. Then the breakfast at Aragula is to die for.

This was my first visit to the area and I found the natural beauty absolutely mind-blowingly magnificent. It is already a tourist hub and, as a South African, I truly hope the roads can be improved and poverty reduced so that it becomes an even more attractive place to visit.

White river is good.

White river is good. You can self drive in kruger national park from here. Also Graskop is an hour drive so you can visit gods window, blude river canyon and all other places if you want to keep your base within white river.

We used to travel to Sabie a lot a couple of years back.

We used to travel to Sabie a lot a couple of years back. The town used to be amazing. Now, the streets (especially when visiting the falls) are so riddled with potholes that you can barely drive a normal car there! The cars prefer to drive on the dirt shoulder to avoid the potholes in the tar. The photos I am posting is of the road right in front of the Department of Roads and transport. The town is so neglected. Most of the falls are fenced off to keep the swimmers out. Lone Creek falls have become the regular picnic spot and taxi loads full of people are dropped off there with swimming towels and cooler boxes. You cannot enjoy the beaty of nature there anymore.

Booked a 1 night stay for my family of 4 at Forever Blyde...

Booked a 1 night stay for my family of 4 at Forever Blyde River Canyon. The viewpoint was exceptionally beautiful. The pool area is really nice and the overall resort is very clean and well maintained. Quiet and peaceful. The 4 sleeper chalet is not something I would book again in it's current state.

I have heard on the radio that Pilgrim's Rest was 'revamped"...

I have heard on the radio that Pilgrim's Rest was 'revamped" a few years ago, but what a disappointment. Great strides were made to install shopping units for the local traders to sell their goods - but all of the traders were selling the exact same African Art. We were there on a Saturday, and most of the other museum-like shops were closed. It was a ghost town. The local pub was open, and we had a drink. There are only two shops you can buy something from, and they seem reasonably priced, but I will not waste my time. Sadly, no one can think outside the box to liven up the place. It has so much potential!

Just one night on my way back home from a rest trip to Mpumalanga, but the lodge provided aa wonderful feeling of warmth, a great and relaxing view of the mountains. it made my overnight lodging a wonderful experience

Kampersrus is about 30Kms from Blyde River Canyon so if you have activities planned there, it’s the perfect budget friendly town to stay at. I highly recommend it. The only downside is that it has limited shops, and the shop closes at 6pm. After that you’ll have to drive to nearby towns for restaurants etc
