United StatesLovely cottage nestled in the beautifull and safe town off Himeville. Peacefull setting with the most awesome view off Sani Pass in the distance. The cottage had more than we needed for an overnight stay. Angie spoiled us with homemade bread that we enjoyed immediately. Also there were treats on the bed and the fridge was stocked with everything we needed for breakfast.

The hosts Matt and Dale are super friendly and helped us with booking the trip to Sanipass, restaurants and suggestions for Cape Town. This tranquil gem of a place was such a beautiful experience. There is so much activities for both kids and adults. Breakfast and dinner buffets were amazing! Everything you need is on the resort, even diesel and petrol right outside the boom! My 8 month old had a ball of a time and the serving staff in the Eagles restaurant showed him so much love, all the time. There was a baby chair for us at each meal which was so convenient. Thank you Gooderson Drakensberg Resort, we will most certainly be back!

A beautiful accommodation in a stunning location. The peace and quiet were wonderful. Zebras were sometimes right in front of our house. Breakfast was good, and the hot dishes were freshly prepared. Dinner was delivered directly to our cottage, where we could eat in a relaxed atmosphere overlooking the lake. I highly recommend this accommodation.

this was ohne of the best Places in 8 weeks in south africa!we only regret that we stayed for 2 days and not longer.the cottages are cozy and comfortable and far enough from each other to guarantee privacy.fantastic walks around the lakes and along the river,you dont get tired of the amazing landscape!we loved it!

The views of the place was breathtaking gorgeous place.
The views of the place was breathtaking gorgeous place. The mountains were full of snow that was good to experience. Since we were driving it was easy to get there.
It is a selfcatering place we had to cook since the place had cooking equipments.
So much fun cause we went for horse riding also it was good.

Plenty TOURS into Lesotho - Day trips. Hiking is always great in this region. Very safe destination. Roads are surprising very good compared to the ready of the country. Found some nice gems while sight seeing.

The scenery and the mountains are stunning, we did a hiking trail through Cobham. It was phenomenal. The Spar has almost everything you may need. There are some lovely restaurants in the area. We dined at Moore Croft Manor - the food was superb! Experiencing the snow was the highlight of our trip.

Awesome location.
Awesome location. Serenity is welcome after the hustle and bustle of city living. Got to do the hike up the Sani Pass from South Africa border post to the Lesotho border post. 17km returns.
Gruelling hiking up. Not for the faint hearted. Great achievement though.

The area and the farm are breath taking. with the Drakensberg mountains just a short drive away. But you do not need to drive if you are looking for just peace and tranquillity its all around you. Underberg has some fine dining places if you wish to eat out.

The Southern Berg is so often overlooked - but is by far the most magical area for family holidays. Central to many resorts - the activities are plentiful. For hiking and swims in unspoilt mountain streams - I wouldn't go anywhere else.

A regular farming town in the mountains of South Africa that...
A regular farming town in the mountains of South Africa that accidentally lies next to the Drakensberg. The town itself has nothing to offer, but it is apparently the hub for the Drakensberg in this area. This might be true if you have your own transport, if not...the National Park is still some 18 km down the road and other areas might not be accessible.

Himeville was a pretty village but we didnt have time to see much. We would have liked to see the museum but it closes on Mondays. It would be nice to go to the pub. Lake Kenmo was beautiful especially in autumn.

A true home away from home.
A true home away from home. The kids enjoyed the waterpark and the daily activities. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth, and the reception and administrative staff were both professional and friendly. The entire team was well-mannered and always available whenever we needed assistance. The place was exactly as advertised on the website, and our family loved every single aspect of it. We will definitely return to Mountain View.

There is a lot of adventure activities to do in the area...
There is a lot of adventure activities to do in the area from hiking in the Drak Gardens area in one direction to Himeville and Sani Pass in the other direction. We did a hike up to the top and back down Sani Pass for CHOC and it was a most memorable experience. Friends have done the tubing experience down the Lion's river and there are some quaint eateries in Himeville and Underberg.
