8/18宿泊、SBBメレル駅からロープウェイでスイストラベルパス割引片道CHF4.90、往復9.80。このロープウェイは列車に合わせた運行スケジュールが組まれているそうで、接続にムダがない。 リーダーアルプミッテ駅からちょっと坂を下ったレストランでチェックインしカギをもらう。部屋は斜面に沿って降りていく階下で、優しい男性スタッフがスーツケースを運んでくれた。エレベーターはない。 42㎡と広く、Wi-Fi快調で照明が明るい。きれいなキッチンに冷蔵庫、かっこいい電子レンジが付いている。 バルコニーからの眺望が素晴らしく、室内の窓からはマッターホルンが見えた！ 夜は満天の星で、流れ星を見ることができた。 下の市街地は連日33~34度の猛暑でエアコン無しホテルが辛かったが、さすがにリーダーアルプミッテは涼しくて熱帯夜から解放された。 チェックアウト後は荷物を預かってもらい、モースフルーの展望台に上がってアレッチ氷河の眺めを楽しんだ。
