The staff insisted on a mandatory 31st December Gala dinner, costing 5000 Rs per head, which was not communicated clearly during booking. Front desk manager handled the conflict poorly, giving me no choice but to pay or leave, with no mention of this condition in the booking policy. It took 45 minutes of argument to finally check in. This incident tarnished my New Year celebration and questioned the hotel's 5-star standards.
