We’ve had a great stay in this resort. Staff is very friendly, speaks different languages, open for any questions and inquiries. The apartment itself is very comfortable and spacious. The view is amazing independently from the season. The kitchen is made with care for every detail, you will have anything you need from the plates and cutlery to oil spray and napkins. Some coffee, tea bags, cacao and honey are also provided. The sauna in the bathroom is great and efficient. The bed is very comfortable and with extremely soft pillows and blankets. There is even a heated drying closet for your winter clothes and heated floors. Very good sound isolation, we’ve never heard other guests, street or corridor. We’ve also rented forest skies from the reception, very convenient, you don’t need to go anywhere else. In overall we are extremely satisfied with this stay and highly recommend the place!

This was the best vacation of our lives, and while we were leaving, we were already planning and dreaming about when we would return again. Everything was very comfortable, and the place itself is absolutely wonderful and perfect for families. We truly loved that there was a slide on the property, where our children could play, have fun, and fully enjoy the magic of winter. It felt very safe and comfortable, which was extremely important to us. We were very impressed with the quality of food and service in the restaurant. We also loved the reception area and the restaurant space, especially the opportunity to sit by the fireplace in the evening and enjoy a warm cup of glögg. The entire staff seemed genuinely focused on one thing only — making our stay truly special. We took part in several activities, including reindeer and husky rides, and these experiences were absolutely incredible. We only regretted that we didn’t book snowmobile rides for adults. However, our children were able to ride kids’ snowmobiles and had an unforgettable and unique experience. The territory is beautiful. During our stay, it was snowing constantly, and although we didn’t see the Northern Lights during those three days, we understand that this is nature, and we were prepared for that. It simply means that we will come back next time and definitely see the Aurora. A huge thank you to the entire hotel staff. This was the best experience we have ever had in our lives.

Quiet place, very helpfull staff, long walk, but doable to city centre. Seeing northern lights from the igloo was another level of experience

Apukka Resort is in Apukka, just 15 minutes drive from Rovaniemi. The property features multiple saunas, including an ice sauna, igloo sauna and movable saunas. The area is very peaceful. The staff is very kind and helpful. The food at the two restaurant are very nice. Don't miss the Salmon at Kota restaurant. Beautiful scenery. We had a cottage king cabin, very nice. Mrs Teija at the Aitta restaurant makes you feel as part of the family. Excellent hospitallity by Mrs. Teija.

Aurora Village Ivalo is situated in Ivalo and offers cabins with a glass roof, offering the possibility to spot the Northern Lights from the bed. Breakfast and dinner were included in our plan during our stay. Both were very good and dinner can be classified as "fine dining". The best thing for the room was that there were no lights around when we were looking out from the windows and thus could see the Northern Lights even in the room. Toiletries in the rooms were just brilliant. Staff were so helpful. Loved the classic type Finnish sauna.
