Our room was upstairs but she took our cases up and brought them down. Lovely view, enjoyed the breakfast room, the sun room and thought the bar was a good touch. Great breakfast variety with delicious local jams and fruit. We had good suggestions about things to see at the Seafront. We found it an excellent base for day trips and enjoyed exploring the town too.

The breakfast was excellent, and we especially enjoyed chatting to the staff. The old historic building was very cosy, and it was like going back in time. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable with clean luxury sheets, towels and bedding. The birthday meal was fantastic, and the bar had a very festive atmosphere.

The Olive Branch was a great find on our road trip down the Devon coast to Cornwall. Our host Jo was so welcoming and provides everything you could ask for to make a perfect stay. The location is in the perfect spot to enjoy walks to the harbour and promenade as well as the local pubs and restaurants. Our room was spacious very clean, and the decor was very inviting. I loved the comfy seat at the window that offers a view to the sea, but my favourite was definitely bath tub that sits on a platform in the room. Breakfast was excellent, we had a choice of a cook to order hot dish which is served with buffet style continental options. Jo took the time to chat and gave us lots of tips for exploring Ilfracombe and the surrounding areas which was very helpful to two Australians who had not been in the area before .
