This intimate hotel is set in a Grade II listed Georgian gentleman’s residence in central Exeter. It offers luxurious rooms, a cocktail bar and a restaurant, just 5 minutes’ walk from Exeter... Meal was tailored to what we wanted
In the city centre, the Jurys Inn Exeter is less than a mile from St Davids Railway Station, the historic quayside and Exeter Cathedral. Hotel was all round excellent and the staff were exceptional
Located in the centre of Topsham, just 4 miles from Exeter, The Globe is a beautifully renovated 16th-century coaching inn. A highly professional and great Inn that exceeded our expectation in regards to Location, staff and...

Set in 4 acres of peaceful, beautifully landscaped grounds, just one mile from the heart of Exeter, Clarion Collection Buckerell Lodge provides the perfect combination of seclusion and convenient city... really strong and consistent wifi
Lovely location , handy for the M5. Lots to do in surrounding areas .Otterton, Budleigh Salterton. Sidmouth to name just a few We ate mostly at relatives houses but try Kings garden Centre Nr Exmouth for great food.
Narrow country lanes and village streets not easy to navigate. Convenient stopover if using A30 near Exeter but we found lanes difficult for strolling. Two pubs in village offer meals but high quality food is to be found in Honiton or nearby villages.
Our trip to Whimple was to attend the funeral of Hazels Brother, We stayed at Straightway Head House and it was suggested that The Thirsty Farmer Inn was good for Evening Meals. Making two excellent choices in East Devon for us on our short stay. We will have to find an excuse to return for happier reasons.
Delux room - said it had a garden view, but it was over looking the car park as well as a little of the front garden. Small attention to detail would make this place stand out, - they are trying to save money by reusing glass bottles for water - ( not clean bottles) green alge at the bottom. Little jam jars - being reused, didn't look very nice and wasn't sure what jam was in there, the jam that was used was of a poor quality very runny. Staff were nice, and friendly. Lights could be in a PIR sensor so for people getting back after dark, will be able to see, Lights were not on, on the 1st night we got back and had to use a torch to see
I stayed here with my mum this week and what a find!! The hotel is just stunning, peaceful and beautiful setting and close enough to Exeter city, Dartmoor and all the beaches so fantastic location for seeing everywhere. As a previous deputy manager of a small boutique hotel in the Cotswolds, my standards are very high, and these guys excell on every level. Spotlessly clean throughout, friendly, welcoming and committed to making sure their guests remember their stay and have a wonderful time. I used to hate reading reviews that said "If I have to have to leave one critism", well no I don't any critism to leave, outstanding on all levels and there is no critism to be had. Lovely couple and their parents run this family hotel, they are doing an awesome job and we wish we could have stayed an awfu lot longer - will definitely be back
The village is a beautiful location for a little peace and quiet away from the city hustle. Unfortunately I didn't get to see enough of it as I arrived in the dark and had to leave fairly early in the morning so will definitely visit again.
