I just loved Glastonbury, the vibe of the town was very laid back and extremely friendly. The location of my B&B was perfect for me, just a few roads away from the main high street but close enough to walk. I felt safe walking around on my own and the shops are amazing!
So many places to visit Lovely Sunday roast at the Abbey Tea Rooms, Glastonbury Abbey well worth a visit and beautiful views from Glastonbury Tor. Chalice Wells Gardens are so peaceful. Wells Cathedral abd Cheddar Caves both magnificent. And great National Trust properties in the area.
The sites I visited were all in walking distance. The Tor, Chalice Well, White well, The Almhouse, and church, Goddess House, Abby, and Wearyhill. Food was fabulous at The Tannary, and Queen of Cups (you need to book) Sadly the Tea Rooms were shut. It was easy to get around, always a shop to pop into. This was a good time of year to go as quite, previous visits have been much busier.
I have been there before but just passing by. This time I had two days so I enjoyed more. Visiting the Abbey is a must, it is beautiful (even under the rain). Definitely go up the Tor, the views from there are incredible and it is quite fun to fight against the wind to go up there; once there take a few minutes to enjoy. This time I went to the Secret garden, I recommend it. It is a very calming place and excellent for resting and put your feet in the very cold and refreshing water. The drinking water has lots of iron, so we aware when you try the first time. Talking to people we found the White fountain (just around the corner of the garden on the way up to the Tor). There you can take some water for free (there are two fountains: one from the white fountain, very nice; and other the same water than the garden one, more iron). If it is open, go inside, if you are brave enough you can go into the water: it is freezing, but very nice. Another visit that I recommend is the Wearyall Hill. The views of the Tor and Glastonbury from there are stunning.
Glastonbury was a great little town to stay in. There's a real magic about this place. The town was cute and had loads of cafes and a great car park. We loved the Abbey and its gardens which are a beautiful place to spend a day with so much history. We also loved the walk through the town to the Tor and around the local lanes and fields. Glastonburys people were super friendly and obviously took pride in their town.
Loved Glasto! Lots of crystals, tarot readers and woo woo stuff and very friendly shop keepers. It feels like you're in another dimension! I bought a beautiful shamanic drum and also a crystal chimes as well as a few other bits in the wonderful Enlightenment music shop. Great to walk up to the Tor for sunrise and see the view and feel the vibe up there. It is a moderately strenuous walk however. Pretty town with some beautiful old stone buildings and church. Restaurants are busy so I would recommend that you book.
Glastonbury
The cabin was so comfortable with every detail thought of for the perfect stay. It's set in a beautiful quiet location and a perfect get away. The apple blossoms were out when I stayed. It's also located near some lovely pubs, farm shop, villages, walks and amenities (besides Glastonbury and Street only 10 mins away). The owners were so helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend it and will definitely return again.
Glastonbury
The Glastonbury Townhouse is beautiful. It was winter so cold outside and the whole house was warm and cosy. Comfy beds and a sparkling clean bathroom. The dining room is lovely and the choice of breakfast was extensive. Paula was very friendly and welcoming and recommended a few places for dinner. We went to the Italian and it was probably the best Italian I've ever had, would highly recommend and return.
Glastonbury
Luisa and Lucas were extremely kind and welcoming. I was given the use of a private half-bath AND a private full bath. It was a short walk to the Chalice Well and Glastonbury high street. Luisa has an amazing lounge room and outdoor patio on the same level as the room with extraordinary views of the Glastonbury landscape. I very much enjoyed the patio and the lounge.
Glastonbury
Perfect walkable location for the beginning of my retreat week in Glastonbury. Other guests were quiet and respectful. The meditation room was a lovely respite at day's end. The Abbey Farm Cafe is a wonderful resource a short walk up the hill or prepare your own breakfast at Camelot with organic produce and fresh eggs. The house manager was gracious and helpful.
It was so well set up, cosy, beautiful location. I travel loads for work, so this felt like a home not a hotel. I loved how close I was to Glastonbury for my meetings but that I felt like I was on holiday. Being able to cook dinner, breakfast and make up some lunch was also great, saved me a lot of money too.
Glastonbury
It’s the perfect location for peace and quiet, or pampering or country walks. It’s near enough to Wells for exploring and Glastonbury is just a country walk away. Great people very friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back. Staycation just got wonderful.

Already for us on arrival. The location was perfect, walking distance to The Tor, Chalice Wells and just 10-15 mins from Glastonbury center. After a full day out, it was great to relax out on the decking in such a peaceful setting.
Location was right in the town centre of Glastonbury. Breakfast was great, numerous options, and we had one evening dinner in the hotel which was excellent. Bar was great and the hotel rooms were decorated to a very high standard.
