The modernly furnished Hotel Meteor in the picturesque Makarska seaside resort offers elegantly decorated accommodation and an exclusive restaurant with skilfully prepared meals, accompanied by fine... The breakfast buffet was amazing. They also have the best location; it's right on the beach and has the best view of the town. It's very kind friendly, but you can still have a pleasant 'adults only' experience. We also appreciated the free parking.

Urania es un complejo hotelero situado cerca de la playa. Todos los departamentos están equipados con cocina y sala de estar con sofá, TV vía satélite y teléfono. También hay estacionamiento. Resort Urania really surprised me in a good way. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment that was spacious enough for 4 people. The apartment’s equipment was unbeatable – the resort really thought of everything. The rooms were clean, and while cleaning was done on request, you could change the sheets yourself whenever needed (I don’t see that as a minus). Breakfast was very rich, with something for everyone. The quality of the ingredients was high, and the fruit selection was one of the best I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Dinner was the same story – very tasty food, a wide selection, grilled dishes on the terrace, and a large variety of desserts – and not just different puddings or jellies in cups like you often get in supposedly “higher-class” hotels. These were real baked cakes and pastries. Within the hotel grounds there’s a perfect children’s playground, big enough so it doesn’t get boring quickly, and our son really spent a lot of time there. You could reach the beach within a few minutes, it was really just a short walk. There was plenty of space on the beach, it didn’t feel crowded at all. Note – it’s a public beach, so umbrellas and sunbeds are only available for a fee, and the price was quite high (around 15 euros for a set of two sunbeds and an umbrella). There were plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.

Maslina Resort está ubicado en Stari Grad, a 14 minutos a pie de Playa Lanterna, y ofrece alojamiento con bicicletas gratis, estacionamiento privado gratis, una pileta al aire libre en temporada y un... The whole staff was amazing, very professional, positive and welcoming led by Batu and Mario. Hotel caters well to children and we felt very comfortable there as a family. The location is unbelievable, very close to Stari Grad but more secluded in nature. Our room had an amazing sea view with a garden terrace. The hotel was very clean and well designed. The food served at the restaurant was excellent and well priced with big portions. The amenities of the spa were very good.

PLACES Hvar Villas by Valamar ofrece alojamiento 4 estrellas frente al mar en Stari Grad y tiene una pileta al aire libre en temporada, jardín y salón compartido. The Villa was perfect, spotless clean, very comfy beds and pillows, very nicely decorated with everything you might need (beach towels, microwave, coffee machine, fridge). We were welcomed with a bottle of water and fruit bowl and coffee/ tea was also provided. The Villa terrace with the sea view is lovely, we loved relaxing there with having the beach/pool/restaurant/bar just a few steps away. The hotel app is great, it helped us get around and catch activities like aqua aerobic (lots of fun!) as well as other events like DJ sessions and live music. Breakfast is heavenly, including even oysters and Prosecco. The flexi option for lunch/dinner/drinks is fantastic. I used it a lot for my favourite restaurant snack- Superfood chia yogurt with oats and fruit. :) There is also soup/salad/bread available for free during lunch hours. Service was excellent with the nicest stuff we ever had a chance to meet. Big thanks to Minja, Marina, Sonja, Biljana, Marko, Luka and absolutely everyone else whose names we didn’t catch. We felt very welcomed and comfortable the entire stay and look very much forward to staying here again.
