It's a family-owned resort, stand right by the beach. Iwan, the manager of the resort, picked us up from the airport. He speaks English well and very friendly. So upon our arrival till departure, all the staffs there, Iwan, Orfi and Angel, were so helpful and tried to make our stay convenient, and to this, we may say they did a super job. 👏👏👏

It takes about 1.5 hour from the nearest airport. In a secluded area. But when we arrive, we are greeted with such amazing view! Nice property, secluded and tranquil. We are facilitated with full service, and our children comfort is well taken care off. They are super happy because they can harvested their own vegetable to table. They are building new properties, single unit villas with their own private pools and facilities. Perfect for future romantic escape. Not to forget to mention their exceptional restaurant, Umanga'a. We have a top notch dinning experience celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. We would love to going back to Umarato in our future holiday.

My stay at Maringi was an exceptionally beautiful and deeply touching experience. This is pure philanthropy in action . A place where education is given to children from underdeveloped island with love, dignity, and joy. I cried the first night, overwhelmed by the beauty and purpose of it all. The food was delicious, the service truly five-star, and the entire stay left me inspired.

Lelewatu Resort Sumba features free WiFi and rooms with air conditioning in Watukarere. Very secluded and quiet. The private villa with pool was spectacular as were the ocean views. The food from the restaurant was properly prepared and good. Since it was low season, they were out of quite a few menu items.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The gardens were great. The room was nice enough. The location was great for viewing sunsets over the ocean. The restaurant and pool area was well designed. The food was great and the chef was happy to go off menu for us to let us try local dishes.

The scenery is very relaxing and the beach is just a few steps away. The location is far away from everything but that's part of why we chose to stay there. It's really peaceful and Blandine's cooking skills are truly next level! You won't stay hungry, trust me :) We hired a driver that was recommended to us and we're very happy with his service too. It's so worth it to go on a day trip and explore nature in East Sumba! The tide was very low during our stay, so unfortunately a snorkeling trip wasn't possible. In the end that didn't bother us because overall the time at Sumba Dream ecoresort was just perfect. Thank you so much, Blandine and Laurent!
