Palenque
Located in the Lacandon jungle setting in Palenque, this resort is a 5 minute drive to the Archeological Zone of Palenque. A 60 km drive from Cascadas Agua Azul Natural Park. It features 7 outdoor cenote style pools, Villa Suites to choose from pool or river view, restaurant, bar, cafeteria, game room, in site souvenir store, convention center, Maya spa and the most important its contact by nature, local fauna and flora. The pool, restaurant, our room and the entire property was so beautiful and amazing. I loved everything this hotel. We plan to stay there next we’re in town.
Camino Mexicano Hotel & Resort
Tuxtla Gutiérrez
Situated in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, 22 km from Sumidero Canyon, Camino Mexicano Hotel & Resort features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a restaurant. Featuring water sports facilities, the 5-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The accommodation provides room service, a 24-hour front desk and organising tours for guests. Family of 6 arrived for a one night stay to the hotel to go to the waterpark next door for Saturday and Sunday. Arrived early to take advantage of water park hours. Check in was easy and clerk was friendly. We had a family room (Room No. 5) which was actually a casita with a full kitchen, A/C in both bedrooms and lots of space, which was fantastic. Beds were a little hard for our liking. TVs in both rooms were huge, but not smartTVs. Internet worked well as did the mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. When you stay at the hotel it included the waterpark entrance which was about $10 USD per person so good value. Hotel also provided a hot breakfast with good service. We would definitely return. Most important for us was that the hotel was clean, nobody got sick from the food, rooms were cold and parents had some privacy.

Great resort vibe for the price. Restaurant is convenient, pool is great, shared bathroom facilities are plentiful. Lots of wildlife around the place including howler monkeys, birds and agotis. Collectivo to the ruins runs from outside and also goes directly to the ADO bus terminal.

Calm, peaceful and luxury place to pamper yourself in San Cristobal. Definitely a place to stay and disconnect. The interior design of the hotel, the room is beautiful, comfortable and has quality materials and products. The people that welcome us and the waiter were really attentive and helpful.

This is a very nice resort, with easy access to the ruins at Palenque. The parking seemed secure, which was important to us, as we were on a long road trip. The room was very comfortable, with plenty of space, hot water, and all the amenities. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. There is a nice restaurant on site and two pools. The grounds are well-maintained and quite beautiful.

If you arrive early you have access to lockers to store you’re stuff. There is a really cool atmosphere! It felt like a jungle resort, seeing some animals walking around.

Top class facilities. The kitchen was the best one I have seen during my 6 months in Mexico. The Jacuzzi tho!!! wow, pure luxury for a relatively cheap hostel. The hammocks & general outside area was amazing too.

Everything! The room was clean and the service was great. Location is good for ruins, a bit less for other things (waterfalls, supermarkets, ADO) . Pverall felt like a resort in a price of a hostel

This resort was far enough away from town to truly feel like you were in the jungle. The howler monkeys which other reviews mentioned are true and such a unique experience! We stayed 3 nights and saw/heard them every day. The pool was quiet the oasis on hot days. The rooms were perfect, facing the jungle and angled so that you didn't see another cabin. Epic place!

Best hotel ever!! were couldn’t bring ourselves to leave so we keep extending visit for over 2 and a have feel staff were very flexible in accommodating our requests! it was the perfect sized kitchen. and purified water! luxury to have ahhhh smart tv with Netflix, Amazon prime, Disney ect! also the wifi was fantastic!!! we should have stayed long I’d we would have we can tal stay again
