We stayed 3 days in one of the beautiful villa’s on the wine yard. We loved the privacy and quietness. The villa has a nice living room with kitchen where you can relax or make a small meal. We tasted on of their own produced wines which tasted great. Every morning fresh bread was delivered. There is a good espresso maker. After a day hiking you can swim in the pool and enjoy the view to the ocean, take a sauna or bath in the villa. There are several very good restaurants just 15 min ride from the villa. Not to forget the bed, bedsheets, pillows are amazing. We both slept very good. If you open the door you hear all night the sound of the river. Had best sleeping score since months

We loved every minute! Petra and her staff are amazing people. Every day, we were looking forward to a healthy and delicious breakfast. We especially loved the ginger shots. We loved the room, the pool, ... the only regret we have is not staying one day more, like we had originally planned. We will be back for sure.

Saccharum - Resort & Spa is a luxury 5-star design hotel located on Calheta Beach, between the mountains of Madeira and the Atlantic Ocean. The Saccharum is a big hotel, with many rooms, yet you'll feel extremely well taken care of. The rooms are beautiful and large, you'll find many pools, including a wonderful rooftop one with many places to sit, read, and relax. There are many bars and restaurants. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, that went the extra mile because it was my wife's birthday. We were offered a bottle of champagne in the room, there were rose petals on the bed, and we had a nice surprise dessert at the end of our meal in the Alambique restaurant. We were given the opportunity to enjoy the hotel amenities after we had checked out for our last day, which was really enjoyable. Everything was perfect from the breakfast to the cocktails in the rooftop bar. Many thanks to all the staff that we had the opportunity to be in contact with. I can only recommend for you to stay at least a few days here. Oh there's an artificial sand beach near the hotel, but I'm not sure you'll want to leave the Saccharum during your stay : )

With a private stretch of sandy beach along the Porto Santo shore, this 5-star resort features 2 natural-style pool areas surrounded by 30.000 m² of gardens. The staff was amazing, specially Ms. Marta Vasconcelos who made us feel very welcomed and gave us some treats 🥰. The fact that there is a real beach with warm water near by is also a big plus.

Savoy Calheta Beach, facing the Atlantic Ocean, is located on Calheta Beach. This 4-star hotel features indoor and outdoor pools, spa, gym and access to the sea via the beach. The food was really good great variety. Close to the beach and beautiful hotel. Lovely room with sea view

Offering 4 restaurants, 2 bars and Atlantic Ocean views, the 5-star Pestana Carlton Madeira Ocean Resort Hotel is situated on a cliff top on Madeira Island. Funchal’s centre is 10 minutes' walk away. Absolutely incredible stay! The staff were so friendly and attentive. Pools were wonderful, food excellent. Would stay here again.

Surrounded by tropical gardens, the seaside Pestana Grand Ocean Resort Hotel features the largest salt water pool on the Madeira Island. It was a beautiful location. The staff was very accommodating. I loved the half-board feature. Everything was perfect.
