The 4-star Douro Cister Hotel features accommodation in deluxe rooms and bungalows amidst tranquil surroundings. I only stayed a night but the room was clean, and they made my dog welcome. Bed comfortable, good heating (much needed!).

Very charming '60 - '70 style hotel with a nice breakfast buffet and a large, clean swimmingpool. Good restaurants within walking distance.

Axis Ofir Hotel is an extensive resort situated among pine groves, the Cávado River and a beach on the Atlantic Ocean. Excellent room with view on the sea and the beach. Delicious breakfast with diverse fruit, cakes, cheeses, etc., etc. Very nice staff.

Accommodation was amazingly designed, modern, with private jacuzzi and swimming pool. Equipped with everything you need for comfortable stay with the family and a dog.
