The view (from our room, the pool, the beach, etc) is truly majestic and exceptional, staff are pleasant, friendly and helpful (they left us really good impressions — warm and welcoming from the drive-in, and they offer their honest opinions for guests to experience this area in its realest ways).

Located in Jian, 7.1 km from Liyu Lake, Summer Rocker Villa provides accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. It is a luxury boutique resort. The owner invested every area from service to hardware. Breakfast was great, and surprised me when it provided such high quality of fruits. Loved background music from Jazz to soothing music. Room size is immeasurable, far above BnB standard. It provides toothbrush, slipper, and Locctane products and etc. Coffee and tea maker are available. I used bicycles to tour the entire city. BTW, TV channels such as France 24, DW, CNN, CNBC are available, a A+ channel setup.

Offering uninterrupted views of the surrounding greenery, Silks Place Taroko Hotel is located within the Taroko National Park in Hualien County. Very comfortable stay. Amazing facilities from the pools to the kids area. Staff was very helpful.

The 5-star Promisedland Resort offers luxurious accommodation with handcrafted bedding, a private balcony, and free Wi-Fi. Free shuttle from & to Hualien Station(advance reservation necessary). Hotel is very wide (lobby to guestrooms, free shuttle available) and with variety of facillities (some cost extra charge), personally times would be a little bit tight for only one night stay even if before check-in & after check-out facilities are still available for use. Rooms are all with balcony (garden & river view), very wide, with everything more than enough. Poolside is fantastic in both day & night time, lifeguards are there who are all polite and friendly. Still, there are pools with warm water (around 40 degrees), not any problems in winter season. Canal's cruising boat takes guests to see through the hotel (go around), boatmans (some are female) would like to give guests a guide patiently through the whole cruise. And also, around 22:00, they run the final boat (not allowed on board) with music speaker, saying good night to everybody. Restaurant is small a bit considering they have such huge amount of guestrooms, it results in that dinner time being seperated into two parts...might be a little bit shameful as they offered many kinds of cuisines, hopefully longer time for dinner would be suggested. But even if we did it over time, staff in the restaurant were all nice and did not push us in a hurry at all. Breakfast time until 12:00 which is quite an excellent service as guests are able to spend the leisure time until around 11:00 (final check-out time), then go for breakfast after check-out. We planned to do this originally but could hardly hire a shuttle to lobby for doing check-out first (around 11:00 is a rush hour for check-out, cars are not enough at all) . However they let us to keep our luggages and room key, go enjoy our late morning time first, back at around 12:15, then they offered a shuttle, gave us a ride to lobby for check-out. Well they do have flexibilities no matter how their policy defines, unfoegettable customer services.

太平洋渡假村 is set on the beachfront in Fengbin, 34 km from Fuyuan National Forest Recreation Area and 39 km from Ruisui Railway Station. Staff were incredibly friendly and had a great view

Set in Fenglin, 18 km from Liyu Lake, Chu Resort Hualien offers accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Brilliant friendly staff, spacious luxurious rooms and a great programme of events. The food was delicious too! This place felt like a small slice of paradise and we were sad to leave. Peaceful, blissful and our favourite place in our whole visit to Taiwan. Well worth visiting.

Butterfly Valley Resort is set in Ruisui, 48 km from Liyu Lake and 1.5 km from Fuyuan National Forest Recreation Area. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a garden, as well as a hot tub. The room is spacious . The golf cart taking us to and forth from different parts of the resort just a call away is super handy . The breakfast and dinner are included but mainly just Chinese/ local food . I loved it . Staff was super helpful. The hot spring spa was good and our villa has private one in the room too which is great . The aboriginal tribe performance by the staff was so fun and the enthusiasm of them is just amazing .

Gaeavilla Resort features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a garden and shared lounge in Jian. Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Both facilities and service is really great and there are plenty of activities offered. Rooms are spacious. The outdoor pool area is fantastic and they have a drink bar in direct conjunction which we seldom have seen in Taiwan - awesome!

Set in Jian, 5.4 km from Pine Garden, Hualien Toongmao Resort offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a restaurant. The breakfast spread was very good The lotus ponds and garden area around the property is very beautiful
