How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The time taken to check-in at the night time with family was a bit more concern. The room was booked but it was not reflected in the hotel's system. Mr. Rico at the reception intervened and provided us with the upgraded room.
The location of the hotel is the prime attraction. It is very near to all required like metro station, easy access to taxis, near by restaurants, baqala, and more. The room is clean, calm and free from torturing noises from downstair live entertainments. The hotel has got 2 level parking which is not available in some hotels in deira. It is nearby to meena bazar which is good for exploring various indian businessess including textile, small scale retails. Meena bazaar nearby has got some renowned south indian restaurant like saravanan bhavan, Aryaas, Sangeetha and a few more to name. The pool is excellent and Mr. Sangam assisted us with providing necessary guidance.

Saya working in the rooftop was very rude and doesn't know even basic knowledge to handle people
Nishi from reception was doing great..very helpful.. Abdul working for house keeping did a good job as well Sanjana from the restuarant did a good job accomodating people

Room size, its too small.
Room was looking bigger in photos, its too small and narrow, not like photos. They gave me a dirty room first time, then they shifted me to another room post my compliant.

Good value for price. Royal Ascot and Ascot hotel are connected from the inside. Indian theme with many Indian venues. Good value for price. It’s a pretty old hotel but everything works well. Water pressure in the bathroom and heat were good. Abdul from housekeeping did a great job.

Swimming Pool time can be extended like open till late night. More food options and lunch or dinner buffet can be provided.
The hotel is very Beautiful and clean. It is in the center of Burj Dubai and accessible to many infrastructure live the metro or attractions. However, from the room their is not much as view from the room

The standard and deluxe rooms are very small. Looking at the room rate it's not value for money at all.
The executive room was good. Staffs very friendly.

Swimming pool was supposed to close at 7 pm, but when we went there at 6.20 pm, it was closed... It's really old. There are 2 hotels next each other. One is OK (could be acceptable to be a 4 star hotel... but the other not at all... They lie with the photos because I assumed that we were going to one different hotel... I wouldn't have booked that one if I knew it

The hotel is very good the only thing i would mark it down is that some of the main attractions of dubai are slightly further then previous hotels I have stayed in..although I would definitely stay here again.
The staff were very good..Rico at reception especially. Very friendly and helpful in all things .. many places to eat and drink nearby within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

It's generally occupied by Indians me and my roommate were the only black persons on the premises. The reception was so bad you could feel you don't belong. Breakfast was Indian 😮💨. It's far away from deira city .
