How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

House keeping didn't show up till 4pm, Dubai still hot as hell during Sunlight so at times I came back to my room for a shower and change of cloathing and it was disappointing to see my room as I left.
Staff especially the check in team mostly Egyptian brethern, Robin from security also made one feel welcomed. No frills just good people who deserve to be in hospitality business.

My booking was without breakfast. I tried it once but didn't like it so with or without breakfast, same. I just didn't like the breakfast which I paid 55AED for it. I had trouble with the A/C and while I didn't inform the front desk given my short stay, I tried my best to cope up with the temp. Maybe if the hotel could check the A/C, that would be good.
The location of the hotel was good for me for if I ever want to come back to the same hotel, it would be the location to be honest. Aside from the location, I liked the desk. I was doing some work on my laptop and the desk was really good.

Responsiveness when calling from the room- Often times I couldn't get through to the reception or the phone wouldn't be answered. Housekeeping- They kept forgetting to put toilet paper in the bathroom. They also left my laundry in the room after I had put it in the laundry bag, placed it on the bed with the filled out form, and left the card on the door handle requesting for my laundry to be taken. It was surprising and disappointing to get back to the room at the end of the day and find that the room had been cleaned and the dirty laundry was left on my bed in the laundry bag with the form. I had to call for it to be collected and wait another day for the laundry to be ready.

When booking on booking.com it shows S$888 for 2 rooms. At the hotel the rates are different, it becomes 310AEDper room per night without breakfast. we have to pay more. It's suppose to be S$444 for 4 nights for each room. we end up paying 310AED X 4 =1240AED (S$476) and another 45AED for breakfast

Not really a pleasant 15. Minute walk to the Mall in scorching Dubai heat on unfriendly walk ways unfriendly to pedestrians. The other alternative is to hire a cab which costs around $10 yet no takers because ot the short distance. All in all I would still book IBIS Mall Square on my next visit to Dubai.

Didn’t get coffee and cream in bedroom 3 nights out of 4 nights. The twin beds were very narrow.

Ibis is Ibis, so you know what to expect and usually I make the booking without breakfast as the breakfast is not that rich, but in this location, I made a very professional lady working in the restaurant, and she was very clever that she invited me to see their breakfast and I immediately bought for my three nights the breakfast package. It is rich and have a wide variety and equality is really good. Just make sure you manage the way your eggs need to be done.😊. I want to thank the Hotel for having Ms.Naglaa in their team, she was amazing. First of all for making me buy the package. Secondly, for her warm will come every morning. In addition, I cannot neglect thanking Mr. Hatem, from the reception team you are so professional so hospitable. All I can say people make the difference in your stay at any hotel and these two members really made my stay enjoyable.

Location: not comfortable walk to the Metro stations. There no USB charges in the room. We have stayed just for two nights on our way to Europe and needed to buy a power adapter with USB ports to charge our phones.
