Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Cayman IslandsWe were not warned the main restaurant was closest even though management was aware it would be long before we arrived and probably before we booked. Result - very cramped breakfast and poor service. only one proper restaurant at which to eat was the Patagonia. The Moreno Lake restaurant was closed completely and the lobby bar closed at 3.00pm. Nothing until Patagonia opened at 8.00pm. Reception staff were rude and uncaring when we complained . We asked to speak to manager but were told he wasn't available but would contact us. He didn't. Complained again on leaving, same result except we were offered one day's rebate of the facility fee...US$32.00!!!!! having paid over US$3,000 for our stay. Insulting!!! We rejected it. Our previous stay exceeded our expectations but it is unlikely we will stay there again. Not what one expects from a 5 star resort. It ruined our stay.

United StatesThis was one of the worst stays of my life! The staff here is incredibly rude. Not only unhelpful, but straight up rude. My sister and I stayed here to ski Catedral. We chose Llao Llao because it was one of the top tier hotels in the area. Unfortunately its really run down (think completely outdated from 1970 with bathrooms with poor water pressure), a bit far from the mountain, and as mentioned - the service is terrible. The doormen would see my sister and I walking to the door, hands full, carrying our skis and would not move at all, would not even attempt to open the door, let alone greet us…or *gasp* offer to help with the skis. They would just watch us struggle to get in, silent. The terrible service came to a head when on the last day when we asked the concierge team to help arrange for a taxi from the ski mountain to get back to the hotel. We had asked the concierge team to help us get taxis a few times during the trip and things went smoothly (despite the concierge constantly rolling her eyes at us). In arranging this one, we set up a location and time to meet the taxi. We arrived at the meeting spot 15 minutes early and ended up waiting there 20+ minutes after the taxi should have picked us up. We got antsy, and started walking around, going taxi to taxi asking if it was ours - none were our taxi. We were really frustrated, waiting around wasting time on a cab that never came. So we decided that we needed to just grab one of the cabs that was waiting instead of waiting longer for the pre-arranged car that may never show up. When we arrived at the hotel - we were, for the first time, greeted at the door. Unfortunately not to actually open the door for us or help us with our ski equipment, but to yell at us for not getting in the taxi. The concierge team then told us that we owed them money for the taxi (which never arrived!!). We were so upset, not only did they leave us stranded, but they wanted us to pay for it?! This is not 5 star service.

BrazilThree points: 1. The recepction team is very cold to the guests; 2. One of the beds of the room 435 was totally soft - impossible to sleep on it 3. Finally, the restaurants were the big deception. We came from 5 days in a hotel in the centre and all the meals we had in several restaurants were better then in LLao LLao. The meals in Patagonia Restaurant had no flavour (both the trout and the merluza). Beautiful dishes without any taste. The next day we went to Asador to eat meat. We asked for the ojo de bife and it wal completed without salt and flavour. Is did no seem that we were in Argentina at all. The service in both restaurants were also poor. We had booked a time for both of them in the concierge and when we arrived both nights the reservation was not there. We only had a seat because the were places available. That was the part we liked less in the whole hotel.
The hotel is beautiful and the surroundings astonishing. The breakfast is great with lots of options. The swimming pool is delicious and there are activities like gym, archery among others. The bedroons were god, except for one of the beds.

United StatesSome of the staff are friendly, some are rude, unhelpful and dismissive. Starting from the front desk, when they seem to be cold, to the requests made through the phone and they forget, or need to keep insisting to be done. The restaurants keep raising the prices, while the food os not worthy that much money. $40 dollars per person on a buffet? Although we checked in on june 29 and they didn’t have the extra bed we requested (they never seem to know anything) and the cost for the third was confirmed, they doubled the amount charged at checkout because allegedly the price increased a day before. Simply ridiculous. Apparently they spoke with the manager; that just dismissed at all and we had to pay what they wanted.
Great location with beautiful views. Clean accommodations, attention to details.

SwitzerlandHowever, I regret to say that my experience was tempered by some disappointments concerning the condition of the rooms and the general state of the hotel. The rooms, unfortunately, showed signs of aging and wear. It was evident that they had seen better days, and a renovation or refurbishment might be necessary to elevate the overall guest experience. The facilities, while functional, did not quite meet the standard I had anticipated based on the enchanting atmosphere your hotel presented. Please understand that my intention is not to be overly critical, but rather to provide constructive feedback that might help you enhance your guests' experiences. I believe that with some attention to these areas, your hotel could truly be a standout destination that exceeds all expectations. In conclusion, I want to emphasize that despite my concerns about the facilities, the overall experience at your hotel was, without a doubt, magical and amazing. The unique charm and captivating atmosphere made it a stay to remember. I genuinely hope that my feedback will be taken into consideration, as I believe it has the potential to further elevate the enchanting experience your hotel offers. It became apparent that there were issues with the management, as certain services and facilities were lacking. It seemed that there was a lack of attention to detail and an overall sense of organization. This aspect negatively impacted the overall guest experience. Furthermore, the restaurant experience left much to be desired. The quality of the food was mediocre, and there was a noticeable lack of variety and innovation. It felt like the culinary offerings did not match the potential of the location and the overall ambiance of the hotel. In addition to the restaurant, the overall state of the property left me somewhat disappointed. There were signs of wear and tear, indicating that maintenance and upkeep were not up to par.
hile I was captivated by the magical ambiance of your establishment, I must admit that certain aspects of my stay fell short of my expectations. Let's start with the positive aspects, which deserve the spotlight. Your hotel possesses an undeniable charm that exudes a unique and enchanting atmosphere. From the moment I stepped foot onto your premises, I felt transported to a different world. The attention to detail in the decor and the overall ambiance truly made my stay memorable and magical. The staff members I encountered were friendly, accommodating, and added to the overall positive impression I had of your establishment.

AustraliaI am a frequent flyer and have been in many 5 star hotels. I have never had such a bad experience anywhere else. Below are the awful experiences I had in this hotel: 1- The hotel architecture is amazing and it is located in a magnificent spot with spectacular views but it’s not managed well. It seems that it is managed on a very tight budget. You are paying for first class but receiving economy service. There is not even a kettle in the rooms to make tea. None of the people working there look happy with their jobs and not willing to help AT ALL. 2- Concierge was supposed to hire a car for us on the first day of our stay. They kept us waiting for half day (updating us every 30 minutes that the car will arrive in 30 minutes) and at 2 pm they said the car is cancelled and no other company has a car as it’s too late. This malfunction cost us losing one day (the only sunny day) of our 2 and half days stay. 3- We tried the Argentina restaurant on the first night. We ordered their signature dish Patagonia lamb. It was dry and chewy and all the salads in the salad bar were old and soggy. 4- The breakfast buffet options are very limited and of a very bad quality. we asked for boiled egg. After 30 minutes of waiting we got 2 rotten eggs!!! And no proper apology from the restaurant manager. 5- On the 2nd night we tried the bar restaurant. We ordered chicken sandwich. The chicken was raw and pink in the middle. We slept hungry again. 6- Room service: we ordered ice cream and they brought us wrong flavours. No apology again.

United StatesUnfortunately, we did not research and look well enough at the different room options and we booked one of the lower priced rooms. They called that room category “the historical rooms” - which was a very accurate description of the rooms! 😵💫 We were very disappointed - the room was very dated and was very small, a narrow queen size bed, the bathroom was extremely small with no rooms for toiletries - the bathtub/shower had just lukewarm water. The bed sides had no outlet for phone chargers. We had a room on the 5th floor/ attic with extremely low inclined ceilings (the hotel was completely fully booked and we were not able to change to another room category) The service of the employees were nice but very slow. Would we stay there again? Yes, but definitely in the newer section of the hotel even though that is a much more costly room rate.
The location and the hotel grounds are spectacular. The outside pool has an amazing view.

Poland- No A/C in the room. - This is a 3-star hotel at best, and when it comes to the service, it is below standards. Most of the staff does not speak English, and even when I tried speaking with my poor Spanish skills, they were not able to address my queries or resolve my problems, and they did not care to call or ask for someone who could. - The concierge will help you arrange only basic bookings or trails within the hotel, but they won't recommend or book for you any outside activities. - I tried to book an ebike tour with a tour agency on site, they thought I could not understand Spanish and openly discussed and extra hotel commission on our booking during the call with the agency. I can understand the commission (although unusual when booking via 5star hotel), but I do not think it should be discussed openly in front of the guests. - the worst part was very mediocre dining with incorrect allergy markings. Staff mislead me on the allergens in my dish. Staff not knowledgeable and not willing to double-check anything for you (it felt like they would just take a guess when answering your questions, just to be rid of you and go their own way). Also, sometimes different members of staff would give you different answers (Matrix!). At some point I stopped believing anything that the staff would tell me and took long taxi rides to eat outside (fortunately we were there only 3 nights). - On top of it, on the first day my husband had empanadas and got sick afterwards. I went to the restaurant to address it with no reaction (they only asked if he needs water delivered via Room Service {sic!}). - I ordered room service once, the food arrived completely mixed-up (risotto with prawns instead of tofu, noodle soup without noodles xD) Very bad communication between whoever takes the orders and the kitchen, complete lack of cooperation between departments.
The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful. We liked the amenities like tennis or gym. We appreciate the availability of free filtered water across the hotel. Breakfast was OK.
