Wi-Fi too slow, and too dark at night no street lights in the area, do not plan to check in after dark.

Location and view was great, room was clean and tidy, French - night receptionist was very helpful.

Just missing elevator in the ecurie building, not easy for person with mobility issue.

Great location in the countryside, nice elegant interiors in the caste building. Great spa area. excellent breakfast and dinner with local fresh products, kind staff.

While the dinner buffet offered by the hotel was spectacular and we feel that the 49 euro per adult to be fairly reasonable. I think the price for kids is a bit too expensive, considering that young children eat not much at all. I understand that they have to charge something, but may be better to stage prices for kids. For example. Under 3, free. 3-5yrs, 7 euro. 5-7 yrs, 10 euro and so on.

Beautiful location and the facilities were amazing. The kids very much enjoyed the heated outdoor pool that was warm enough to still use in the middle of winter.

The spa zone is outside, small buildings for sauna and hamam and warm swimming pool (not so warm), a lot of people in jacuzzi, so we couldn’t visit it. After spa you have long way outside to your room. In October it was very cold there. With children you can visit spa just till 19:00. You should have all with you: waterproof sleepers and all the staff for swimming. Without that you won’t be able to visit spa zone. You can get just towels and bathrobe for 8 euro per person. In the breakfast It’s difficult to get a coffee, big cue.

We liked romantic atmosphere, beautiful exterior and the park. Size of the room was good for 2 adults and 2 kids. Very simple, but for us it was ok. We were in castle building. Big rooms are there and they were renovated couple of years ago. Nice breakfast, but if you will be later than 9:00, probably you won’t have food enough. But it’s a very nice place to start your day, good view from restaurant, for sure it cost that. Bar was very nice too with few zones for chill and relax, they also have something to do for kids there. Read the story of the castle and the owners, it might be interesting.

The breakfast could have included more vegetable options. The bread was good, the pastries (croissants/ pain au chocolate) not so much. The temperature control in the room can be improved. It would be good to offer some cheap swimwear for sale at the Wellens.

The location was beautiful, as was the chateau itself. The room was spacious and clean. The service at the front desk was good and buffet is excellent.

Clear minimization of investments: - 2 coffee machines in the morning, made 10 minute lines to get a coffee. Worse, one of them broke so was unavailable the whole weekend after it broke. The lines didn't become bigger because people just didn't go for coffee anymore. We were at the same hotel the year before and the same thing happened. So clearly it's something that happens regularly but isn't remedied. - hotel bar isn't open until 15h30, so you can't get a drink between 11h (end of breakfast) and 15h30. But then the barman only comes in unexpectedly at 16h30 so voilà, you're waiting for an hour to be able to drink something. - Same with checking out which has to happen before 11h if you want to avoid a 100 euro fine. However if you then check out early so you can get breakfast without stress, then there's no staff at the administration to check you out. Overall you get the feeling that the hotel minimizes expenses versus maximizing profits at the expense of guest comfort. (we talked with other guests that had the same feeling)

The environment and setting is amazing.

The rooms would definitely need some light renovation. While they are generally pretty good, some damaged areas/items really ruin the luster. While the place is in a relatively remote location, the only thing you can get after breakfast on site are cold sandwiches, but additionally, they are sold away really fast, so if you miss them you are stuck eating nothing or getting out with a car. But the *major* issue we had was that on the last day of our stay, the restaurant closed (it seems due to low occupancy), without absolutely no warning, and we had to search for a place to eat in the surrounding villages at the last possible moment. The placards and website state the restaurant is open 7/7, and it was a very special day for us, so it was a very nasty surprise. Reception really tried to placate teh day after us so that is a point ot them If this hadn't happened the place would deserve a 9+. We will definitely choose it again, and hopefully next time it will live to its full potential!

The surrounding location and building are simply magnificent. Buffets both in the morning and dinner were outstanding. The swimming pool area was great and so were the other amenities. The vast majority of people were kind, **particularly the kind young gentleman in the bar who went above and beyond for us**, and the night receptionist.

No food options at lunchtime is not ideal. It would have made a great difference for us if we didn’t have to go out to a nearby town every lunchtime. The decor and cosmetics of the bedroom were of a rustic & woodland style, but unfortunately not greatly executed. Many hard edge corners not ideal for a kids room, branches added to the walls for aesthetic but not well executed. The wooden walls of varying shades of red, black, etc was closer to quirky-weird than quirky-cool.

Lovely location, building, and most of the facilities. Staff were great.

The rooms opposite the castle are dark and small, no tea or milk in the room. The adult pool was full of screaming children splashing around. Don't know why they didn't enforce them to use the child's pool. They preauthorise €150 on my card, and it's still pending, so I can't use this money until they release it!! Please sort this! Breakfast charge too expensive so we went hungry. Also dinner charge is extremely expensive so had to drive out to eat elsewhere. Limited snacks at the pool area also very expensive. Had pool towels charged to our room even though we returned them on exit of the pool... this was difficult when we checked out. This place could be brilliant but too many things let it down, so I would not stay here again. Please remove the hold of €150 on my bank account so I can use my money!!! Its been 5 days...

The castle is nice and the pool area also nice.

Lunch: working hours of their restaurant is only for breakfast and dinner. So be prepared if you are arriving around lunch time as well. Market: I like spending time at outdoor pool & spa area. However I'd expect a bit more capacity at their market there. (More drink & snack options will increase the quality) AC: They didn't have AC in the rooms, which is okay but just keep in mind.

Very good location, nature and atmosphere. I couldn't imagine a better place for a weekend trip with spa, off-grid and in the nature. Besides all, fantastic chateau with its architecture and facilities. We were able use the spa before check in as well. They provide bicycles for free along with some nice routes on google maps, highly recommended activity. Staff were very professional and polite. Breakfast was also very good.

too bad there was only a dinner buffet and no a-la-carte service. as we were not so hungry we would have liked to only eat a light salad and have one glass of wine. Euro 49,- per person is too expensive for that.

The only thing I would have preferred is an earlier dinner seating as we have a young child and could not wait until 7:30, after a long day of walking and swimming at the pool. Beside that the food was delicious.

The property had the best facilities for a family, pool, wellness centre, short walks.

There was just one socket to charge your device in the room. If you need more - you'll have to unplug a lamp.

There's a nice small park around the chateau, good for the short walk if the weather is nice. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was big and very clean. The breakfast was amazing, if it's not included into the room price - I highly recommend to take it at least one day.
