Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CroatiaWe stayed with friends in an apartment that is not in the hotel building, but is very close and we had a great time. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is in a great location, parking is across the street, just like the train or tram station. There is no better location if you want to explore the Belgian coast and even other famous places inland.

United KingdomOne warning would be that if a large ship is in the harbour you may hear generator noise throughout the night, this is no fault of the hotel but if you are light sleeper it may keep you awake as it did us on our last night. Take some ear plugs !
The location was fabulous for our needs. We went to a memorial service at the harbour and could see where we needed to be from our window. A couple of minutes walk to the station which we could also see from the window enabled a day trip to brugge. Breakfast was very good and lots of choice. The rooms were very warm. The staff at this hotel are friendly and very helpful and it really was a lovely place to stay

AustraliaThe rooms were a bit stuffy, even with the window open. Luckily we arrived when the weather was getting cooler, but I could see this being an issue for patrons during really hot days. Also, there was no fan in the bathroom.
The different facilities available to customers was fantastic. The hotel is right in the centre of Ostend, next to the train station, which makes it very accessible. The staff were lovely too!
