How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The beds were too soft for me. For the rest of our party they were perfect, though.
Great apartments, really! We booked the studio and the supreme apartment, and both were exquisite! Spacious, clean, comfortable. Perfect location, really nice hosts, parking available. Thumbs up!!!

The apartment was really great - equipped with all things necessary for convenient living! Furniture and appliances are relatively new, small balcony, the same stylish and modern like on the photo. There was self check-in, but the lady gave a detailed instruction, so it was quick and convenient. The only thing we didn't like was the parking. The was very few parking places outside, that we had to re-park the car several times... I surely recommend this accomodation!

This is an excellent flat, which is a short walk from all the main tourist sites. My husband loved sitting out on the balcony during the evening. We have been travelling a while and this flat had the best bed and pillows. Its in a quiet neighbourhood and had a great cafe and pizza place nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

Superb apartment with very helpful host and close to all the attractions. Great option if you have a car - allocated parking right outside the building. A lift so no real issues if you have mobility issues.

There is no air conditioning in the bedroom.

Very conveniently located to city centre and in a safe and quiet area. Very comfortable and attention to detail was spot on. I am looking forward to staying again when I come back to Plovdiv. Mira is a wonderful host.

The location is great, very close to the city center (a short 10 minute walk). The area is quiet, without a lot of traffic. The apartment was clean and very modern, and has everything that you would need as a traveler.

Great apartment with everything you need! We especially loved the owner who quickly helped us and solved our problem. She called us and tried her best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The place is in a perfect location just a couple of minutes walk from the center, it was quiet and with beautiful design. We will stay again!

The only problem is that the room has only one air condition in the leaving room and not in the bedroom. So for sleep it was not as easy as we went in the summer with 30°C and the bedroom can not be in the right temperature for sleep.
Nice design of the room. It was cleaned. Free parking, easy, and quick communication. It has all the staff to cook. 15 minutes from the center.

Noise from the construction next door. Did not expect that - first day was fine as we were out for the day but the next morning had to deal wth teh noise while having breakfast. Not a big deal.
Great apartment, clean and tidy and decent location. Great host and very accomodating - managed to let us have the apartment earlier than the check in time. We had a car so was good that she provided us with one of the apartment parking spots.

Stylish, clean, center, free-parking, big house, coffee machine, iron, hair dryer..so many things.. Just like home. i used to stay another apartment but surely i will stay here whenever i come to Plovdiv.

Since there is a washing machine in the apartment, it would be nice to have a rack to put up clothes to dry. We couldn't see one but decided not to bother the hosts as it wasn't a big deal. If you are staying for longer and may be doing lots of laundry, you may want to ask for something to use to dry your clothes. Also, there's currently a construction going on outside the building that could get loud during the day, but since we were mostly out exploring, it didn't bother us. Overall, we loved everything about the apartment!
A comfortable and pleasantly decorated apartment in an excellent location! Once you arrive, it looks like you are no where near the center, but you actually are. You get a quiet neighborhood with quick access to the city center. If you don't mind a short walk, you can cross the pedestrian bridge over the Maritza river and get to Kapana Creative District, Glavnata (main pedestrian street), Old Town, and everything else around the city center. There's plenty of restaurants nearby without having to cross the bridge, though. The apartment is spacious and my friends only wished that they could stay longer. Fast Internet and a spacious bathroom, too.

Hard to think of any cons! Maybe that there is no dryer? I can't remember if it specified that the second bed was a sofa bed...which doesn't leave much other sitting room, but it was fine!
It was very modern and nicely decorated. The location is great--just a short walk over a bridge to get to a main shopping area with food. Plovdiv itself is a great town; my son says he wants to live there! The property was clean and comfortable.

There was a problem with the lift which made it difficult for my mother to get up the stairs. When I notified the lady about the problem she moved her very quickly into one of their other apartments. Clean and tidy in a great location. No downsides and very recommended.
