hotel accommodation: the initially assigned room was occupied. it took 45 minutes until another free room was assigned. 45 minutes of my time, this after 15:00 - check-in time breakfast was a bit limited and pretty much the same every morning. the omlette was disgusting. tasteless coffee

the beach close to the hotel. park nearby. the surroundings of the hotel are clean and well maintained. large room, large balcony. lunch and dinner quite diverse, with a new menu every day.

However, I was disappointed by the lack of good quality coffee and the average food options. Another inconvenience was the absence of drinking water in the rooms. Additionally, the WiFi stability is not great.

Rooms require renovations, especially the bathrooms. No bottles of water in the rooms are provided. The drinking water could be accessed only in a hotel lobby through a dispenser and had a strange chlorine taste. During the entire stay, I drank the sparkling water that should have been ordered in the lobby and/or pool bar. Walking back and forth between bars to drink a glass of water was uncomfortable. The beach towels are given/exchanged in the spa centre, which is located in the basement of the hotel and a long distance from the beach. It will be better to get the towels directly on the beach or in pool area.

Beach, location, water pressure- amazing. The food quality in the restaurant is very good - freshly prepared with plenty of healthy options (fruits, vegetables, nuts, soups, etc.). The French style pancakes at the breakfast are exceptionally delicious made by lovely Olga K. The perfect start of the day! Light rooms with ceiling-to-floor windows overlooking the beach. We kept the doors open overnight and slept with waves sound.

All-inclusive coffee in low quality - but you can pay at the bar for Lavazza No fresh juices at breakfast Water from filters, not in bottles No free water or anything else at arrival Reception desk employees were all stressed, forgot to smile and behaved like it is a punishment to be there. We arrived earlier and were asked to come back later (in a 5 star hotel!) We were the ones telling them our options for an early booking. Rooms are not 5 stars, bathroom maybe 3 stars. Double bed was made out of 2 mattresses. The place has a very high potential, but we assumed there is a low interest in making it a 5 star hotel for real.

This is a hidden gem in Golden Sands. A perfect location, with great facilities and incredible view. The landscape was taken care of and beach and pool area were clean. There were only a few people in the hotel, but the buffet had enough food choices. We loved the salads and the soups, also the main courses were very tasty. Though we read previous reviews and expected a not very clean place, the rooms and amenities were clean. The SPA services were also very good. Bartenders and pool people (lifeguards and entertainers) were all very polite and kind to help. Same in the restaurant. Parking next to the hotel, really ok and guarded (money worth) Overall, it was a quiet stay, that we enjoyed. We have visited Golden Sands and when we saw the other hotels, we realised Riviera is really a good place to be (even it is not perfect)

Like every hotel in the balcans and turkey, you can easily remove one star from their rating. So basically its a good 4star hotel, made almost 20 years ago, and barely modernized/renovated after. just regular maintenance and moderate cleaning. So do not have too high (5star) expectations and then you won’t be dissapointed. The price before the main season was okay. We spent a nice weekend there in early June (the sea is still cold, but enough warm for a quick swim ;)

The location is really good, quiet and the beach was clean and not so noisy like the rest of the “Golden Sands” beaches. Food was good also, and the staff is helpful.

I would have liked a larger variety of food selection. If you went to get your food close to the end of the service, there was nothing you could eat. The staff took everything out with fifteen-ten minutes before the end. There are few parking spots available and during the season is very hard to find an open parking slot.

I like this hotel because it's located on the beach and it has its own private beach. Also, you can walk on the boardwalk without meeting a lot of people. The food was good, but I eat several times at other restaurants in the area. The spa is very good and the staff has been amazing.

Food could be a bit better. Variety was sufficient but taste could sometimes be better. However, I appreciate that this is a matter of personal preferences and others could disagree.

Excellent facilities and staff at the spa centre and the reception desk. It is a pity that they do not work all the year round. They have both the facilities and the staff to do so.

They have bad bugs in some room... last two days me and my wife where bitten verry bad ... ant there are some other couples that had the same problem.

The animation program is more for little kids. The breakfast was always the same, the rest was ok. I've expected a little bit more from a 5* hotel.

The view and the beach is fabulous. The sand is fine without sharp shells. The forest like park gives a unique atmosphere to the place.The staff was very friendly.

cleaning could be improved, especially the pool had a lot of black mold and the sand at the bottom wasn’t cleaned in the 4 day we stayed.

Restaurant was available only indoors - big dislike for health related/COVID-19 concerns. Restaurant was very crowded. Room was clean, but common areas not so i.e. hallways, elevators etc. Little food options at the beach snack bar. Sunbeds were 'reserved' for hours by other guests who put their towels on but were not at the beach - hotel management should have a policy about that as there were days when we could not find available sunbeds on the hotel beach, and this is not acceptable for an all inclusive trip. Parking is for a fee for journeys less than 7 nights.

Beach and water clean, very nice sand. Excellent food options, could do with some more options for kids though. Very big room, cleaned every two days. Nice towels and toiletries. The hotel needs an open air terrace for serving food for COVID-19 related reasons, and for the general comfort of the guests.

Not really a 5 star hotel. Very few people on the cleaning staff. If they can't enter the room on the first pass, they don't come back the same day. Food was a bit bland

Need some improvement to keep 5 stars rating. They asked to pay an extra 60 Euros to stay an hour in advance, acceptable food, but far below 5 stars. The staff was not very friendly (managers must be more careful when hiring).

staff: well... they were all bored... really! the bartenders, the reception... mostly the animators. sometimes it felt that we disturb them :) road to the hotel: sinuous road, and not at all smooth :)))

hotel: big & as clean as can be pool: 3 pools opened - kids + playground, big pool (1,5m), interior pool restaurant: the staff was fast on cleaning, the food was enough to choose from (veg & omni), the best desert was the ice-cream... the rest.. was just sweet with no specific taste pool bar: staff didn't know cocktails :))) you had to tell the recipe, they were pretty fast, but seemed veeery bored (not nice!) pool snack bar: nice doughnuts, hotdog, ice cream (i believe the staff didn't know english, but he tried his best really, and was nice & fast) beach: very close to hotel (50m), clean, with sun beds & free zone (the guest are terror, they kept the sun-beds occupied from day-to-day with towels) playground: a nice place for small kids room: queen double bed + extensible sofa, clean...

Overall, everything was great. The location, the pool, the staff. It was quiet and nice. There are lots of trees and you can take a walk around. Great for kids.

this is the best place for vacation on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, but only three of the six hotels of the complex are working and serious repairs and renovation of the base are needed.
