Portugal- The rooms need better maintenance. For example, we noticed that under the bathroom sink it was completely black / green due to mold. The shower also had plenty of mold spots. This could be easily avoided with a monthly deeper cleaning. Also the roof tiles in the balcony were not clean - Spacious kitchen area without any oven. We were unable to make any home meal due to that. There is enough space to install one or at least a portable one - Missed a small gym

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Porto Bay. Initially, the room we were assigned didn't align with the booking photos, prompting us to request a change. The staff graciously accommodated our request and swiftly arranged for us to move to a different room. The pool area was stunning, and we were provided with fresh towels daily. Additionally, breakfast offered a wide array of options to choose from.

United KingdomThe only improvement we could find is that a few more hanging spots in the room would be great, you can tell it was a good experience when that’s the only downside!
The staff are excellent at this hotel and really made our stay special. All of them deserve credit but we had specific great interactions and service from Priscilla and the young lady that works in the bar at the reception. They were always super friendly with their interactions, and really went the extra mile when it came to special requests and personalised services. The breakfast was great, varied and designed to mimic home cooked grandma style breakfast which made every day start that bit better. We can’t recommend the hotel enough, we even visited during the busiest week of the year and the hotel still managed to be a tranquil setting to relax against the super busy buzios during the new year break.

United KingdomThe day/evening food menu was pretty limited. Mainly burgers and basic pastas. Nothing vegetarian but one salad. I'm sure the local staff could make a better menu. I'm sure it will improve. I suppose most people eat out anyway.
Excellent staff.. Very pleasant, welcoming and helpful. Best staff I've met in 30 years of coming to Brazil. The hotel was very clean and super, imaginative breakfast catering for all tastes and diets. Also not on the beachfront so quiet and civilised.

United KingdomThe location was great. Walking distance from the centre, but away from all the noise so very peaceful. The staff were exceptionally friendly - from the receptionists to the bar staff. They helped us book trips for Buzios and Arraial do Cabo. The rooms were immaculate and spacious. Very comfortable beds. The air conditioner was on for our arrival meaning the room was cool when we entered (this has been the only hotel I've been to in Brazil to do this). The pool area is also stunning! And all this for an brilliant price! I would definitely recommend people to stay here if they are visiting Buzios
