Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesMy only complaint was around the food and drinks. They were too expensive in comparison to the other places nearby and they really weren't very good. Also, San Pedro does periodic blackouts. The hotel did not announce that to the guests. They did have a generator but the AC was not hooked up to it so it was sweltering. Better communication would be helpful.
The staff was phenomenal. The rooms and the pool area on the 6th floor were absolutely gorgeous. You're right next door to a grocery store. Also there is a farmhouse that serves breakfast about .2 miles (walkable) and a lounge that serves delicious food and drinks about .5 mile (walkable). If you don't want to walk you can certainly golf cart your way... it was perfectly located.

United StatesRooftop restaurant played nonstop old country music…really loud. The playlist would be fine for a trip to Nashville but was really strange and distracting given the location. Sections of The property seem unfinished and there were a few areas that appeared to need maintenance. This property could be fantastic with a little more TLC and staff training.
Room was comfortable and the rooftop restaurant/pool view was beautiful. Excellent cleaning staff.

United StatesThe website and booking site showed a large fitness center which was not finished and not available. It also showed a downstairs more formal restaurant which was not finished or ready. A lot of the property was still under construction. I thought the price of almost $400 a night was excessive given the lack of completion of the hotel and facilities.
The room was very clean and the location was very close to the main part of San Pedro. Beautiful rooftop bar.

CanadaOne staff at the front desk was quite nice but not very helpful. She seemed out of her element or undertrained when called upon to offer suggestions. Was disappointed by the pool area. Many dead or dying potted plants, the fabric on the outdoor furniture was stained /soiled, and only a few of the jets in the pool worked. Although a new hotel there were already signs of disrepair and neglect. It wasn’t as pristine and well maintained as I would expect for the cost.
It was newer and had some very nice finishes. The beds were really comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and big. The room was aesthetically pleasing and clean. The staff was nice and some individuals were really helpful and kind.

CanadaIt was very odd to return in the evening and have nobody on the front desk. I understand low seasoning that you were new, but it made mine feel a little concerned about safety.
Thought the room was quite nice. Service was good. Food was great! Paul was a little disappointing. The amount of steps in the water make it difficult really swim.

United StatesThis is a new property and needs a few improvements. Management was responsive to my suggestions, but did not offer me any compensation. A few insights on how to make the property a bit more comfortable for your guests. - Bed needs a top sheet - No where to put luggage, my suitcase was on the ground - The hook above the toilet should be on the wall outside of the shower and should have 2 not just one as the room is double occupancy. - No rug next to bed to brush the sand and dirt off your feet before getting into bed. I used a towel. - The bed frame is way too big, bulky and hard. It is hard to get in and out of bed without injury, bruising. - Shower gel is better than soap, The toiletries are lovely overall and the bath towels and sheets are top quality. - It would be nice to have hooks in the shower to hang your swimsuits. - No hangers or anywhere to hang up any items. - The pool area needs lounge chairs with cushions. - upgrades at check in would be a nice touch as occupancy was very low.
Great location near Bar 303 and Elite Adventures. Easy access to the main town, restaurants and shops. The room was lovely and the AC was great. The Staff was amazing, attentive, kind and welcoming.

IsraelThe beach next to the hotel isn't suitable for swimming. Probably because they just opened, the safes and the TV in our rooms weren't functioning properly.
The hotel was opened a day before our arrival. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room is beautiful. There are nice pool and snack bar with spectacular views on the top floor.

United StatesThe only reason I gave it a 9 is because me and my roommate had to continuously go to the front desk everyday to get our keys reactivated because they didn't activate our cards for the length of our stay.
The staff here was so friendly. They took really good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. Room service was always on point with keeping the room cleaned and the restaurant on the 6th floor had amazing food and service as well.

IsraelThere were some beginning bumps like the safe that wasn't working. The Jacuzzi on the sixth floor next to the pool was cold.
The hotel was opened a day before our arrival. the room had a beautiful ocean view, and a small comfortable terrace. The hotel arranged transportation from the ferry and back that was free of charge. There's a pool on the sixth floor and a bar restaurant with good snacks.

I ordered room service, the food was awesome. I enjoyed my coffee on the rooftop, then took a swim how great is that. Overall The Watermark gets 20 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐s. CanadaVery noisy next to a very busy and high traffic road. Very far from the action. Taxis don’t want to come to the hotel or charge more for pickups and drop offs because there is a toll on the bridge. Ant problem in the room. Beautiful oven views but no beach or landscaping on the property. So much unused land potential. The restaurant food was not good at all, nor was it flavourful. The food was also overpriced. Everything was overpriced. No amenities besides a pool which closes early while the sun is still up. The pool says it is only for the guests, but people not staying at the hotel kept getting permission to access the pool. The pool was not cleaned while I was there and I napkins and garbage in the pool and some dirt could be seen. On a few occasions this was mentioned to the bartenders at rooftop. But no regular checking on the pool or staff overall experience was of concern. Staff are not very friendly. Hardly greeted at all throughout the stay. Didn’t feel like a warm and inviting hotel to stay at.
Beautiful rooftop pool. Beautiful and spacious room. Lovely and friendly bartenders at rooftop bars.

United StatesI paid $536 for 2 nights, 1 person. My room was small, faced a very busy and noisy road with construction traffic starting at 5am and no balcony. My view was not of the ocean but the balconies of the condos across the street. Huevos rancheros from hotel restaurant price $17usd Phone did not work for local calls, they ran out of drinking water, the pool is freezing, it was dusty and way overpriced for what was received. The hotel isn’t finished being built and room prices should reflect that. Occupancy is so low (I was the only customer at rooftop restaurant for both breakfast and at sunset, DURING SPRING BREAK 😬) that Waterford should use the ocean view rooms only! The road view will chase customers away for good! Would not recommend or stay again.

United StatesThe pool was horrible lol actually laughable. The “pool” is about 2 feet away from people eating breakfast, lunch and dinner! The pool is in the hotels only restaurant. Very weird place for a pool! It’s deceiving from the online pictures so if you’re looking for a pool this isn’t it! Also, the neighborhood is sketchy. Hotel lobby is pitch black at night everyone leaves, but they do have security roaming the premises which is comforting. But if you’re out late and u lose a key or something there’s no one on-site to assist until the morning and that worried me.
The staff was amazing they went above and beyond! Were super nice. Decorated a beautiful room for my hubby birthday and also answered every question swiftly and precisely. They booked my golf cart, overall really nice people here.
