How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I didn’t like that they gave me in my spouse only one key. What if we had wanted to do something separately?
I like that the price here it is reasonable. It’s fine facility. It’s definitely a no-frills in. Everything is standard and a little outdated, but my stay is clean and comfortable at an affordable rate. I’ve stayed here many times and will continue to do so.

No table lamp. Over the bed lights bright for relaxing reading. The bathroom taps and especially around the back of toilet seat didn’t look well cleaned. Old towel bar hole in plaster wall visible. Not a home feeling bathroom.

Unfortunately, like most hotels, some guests were inconsiderate - slamming doors, loud mobile ringing, calling to others down the hall.
Simple, very clean, convenient location for University Hospital . I will book again, but bring ear plugs.

The room felt a bit institutional with vinyl flooring and dated facilities, and I didn't realize that the kitchenette didn't include a stove, even though it came with pots and pans. We made use of the shared kitchen instead. The shower didn't drain well and the toilet took a bit of time to flush, but this is admittedly an older building.
Beautiful views around the building with a river and walking trails. The family suite was exceptionally roomy, and we experienced an extremely quiet stay. Our suite did not match the pictures, but it had a large bedroom with three beds, separated from the living area with a door. The community lounge and kitchen were easily accessible and not at all crowded. Overall, it was a convenient and practical place to bring my kids for the weekend.

It was a little confusing to find because it is in behind other buildings.
I would have liked a shower in the room but it was fine using the one down the hall.

It was very convenient using the kitchen - which was clean and well equipped. The eating space was well lit and the lounge was very comfy. I especially thought the staff were amazing.

we had the Family suite with Kitchenette, queen and two singles. Ample room for the family, and it was minutes from the Canada Games Aquatic Center.

Although the room was fairly comfortable, it is quite small. The rugs on the floor are very worn aND DIRTY AND NEED CLEANING OR replacing. The white bedspread (which looks like a curtain) was dirty and had stains on. It needs a good cleaning. The hotel is very stingy on its kleenex and paper towel. Also, there is a sign on the mirror in the bathroom advising guests to use makeup remover so they don't get makeup on the facecloths/towels. While the towels are white, the facecloths are "black" so no one sees the makeup stains and guest don't really know how clean they really are!
We were in London for medical appointments at London Hospital, and the Guest HOuse on the Mount is a great location for this sort of thing since it is only 5 mins from the hospital. We booked the room with a kitchenette so we did not have to go out and find restaurants since time was of the essence.
