Fantastic farm experience

Back in the day the hosts made breakfast for the guests. To bring that back would mean a perfect stay for me.

There was a breakfast stated in the booking but nothing was available so we checked out in the morning and found a lovely spot for breakfast in a nearby town.

The accommodation was comfortable and had everything in the room that we needed. The bed was comfortable and being in a rural location, the surroundings were very quiet allowing for a great sleep! Hosts were friendly.

The building we were in felt neglected and in need of considerable maintenance. There have definitely been some upgrades, but there is much left to do. Our room had been modernized but wasn't clean enough, at least by our standards. (We may be extra fussy having run a Canada Select 4.5 star B&B for 19 years.) The breakfast offering consisted of bread in the fridge, use of a a toaster and a very weak pot of coffee. Despite the grumbles, we slept very well. It was nice to have windows open for cross ventilation, which we wouldn't have had in most hotels!

The outdoor areas are beautiful. The man who checked us in said it's a 25 acre spread. The rhododendrons were in bloom and it was a pleasure to walk about enjoying the vistas and running our dog. The bed was quite comfortable and we slept very well. The bath had good water flow and both a tub and shower. The man, who I don't think gave his name, had planned to put us upstairs but relented when we explained that one of us has difficulty with stairs and put us in a downstairs room which was a good thing. We enjoyed lounging outdoors and it was peaceful and quiet!

Main building appears to be under renos. Lovely soaker tub in room with big window overlooking gorgeous greenspace; however felt somewhat uncomfortable as deck from suite next door a bit too close in regards to privacy.

Beautiful piece of property. Serene and quiet. Owners very friendly. Lovely outdoor hot tub. Price was right.

No free breakfast. The tin on roof very noise in a rain storm. Children running around and making noise early in am.

Free use of kitchen faculties and fridge store all day. It was a quiet farm stay.

Name suggests we would be staying in a house so did not expect to be staying in a room off a performance hall, which is one end of an even larger building. Rooms were good, rest of space a bit rustic, perhaps better for a large group. Suited us okay but not for everyone. Mosquitoes swarmed us on arrival, better in the morning (because grass was mowed?). Not clear from description that breakfast not provided but quick note once booked telling us not to expect breakfast. Water smells of sulfur.

Clean, friendly, comfortable (air conditioned) in an interesting location. The hostess kindly provided some freshly picked raspberries for our cereal. Lots of space with utensils and big fridge and good shared cooking facilities.

Air con would shut off randomly all night. Woke up about 4 or 5 times super hot and had to turn it back on.

Beautiful country location. Peace , quiet. Best bed and pillows ever!!! Very romantic atmosphere Hosts... and dogs super friendly. Pool table in main room was great fun on a rainy night.

Beds were comfortable and linens clean. Only improvement would have been less wrinkled sheets and clearer information as to what we could use in the kitchen, we just followed what other guests did but clarification from the owner would have been better

It's a perfect way to get away from the city and be in the nature. A very nice setting on a farm, has something for everyone, if you like to walk around the property or just sit on a long chair and relax. If you bring your dog, he will really be happy and enjoy his freedom.
