Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe sofa bed is not firm. The pool is small.
Great location which is few steps to the harbour and nice junior suite with kitchen, dining table, rotating tv and sofa bed. The free breakfast is excellent…variety of food to choose from which can accommodate picky eaters.

CanadaThere was no clock in the room which would have been helpful.
Our suite was very spacious. The naturalist decor with its wood accents and brown and cream overtones created a warm yet sophisticated ambience. The compact kitchen was quite smart and equipped with all the necessities including a small dining table with two chairs. The bathroom had ample counter and storage space and a toilet with impressively powerful flow. The bed was very comfortable. Mirrors abounded covering two sets of sliding doors and the wall above the bathroom sink. Breakfast offerings included an extensive variety of hot and cold items with a different selection of hot dishes daily. A fireplace in the eating area was a nice touch in keeping with the warm and welcoming character of the entire hotel. All the staff was very attentive and friendly.

CanadaThe hot tub is super small. The pool temperature was very cold especially for little kids and seniors like my Mom who love to swim but found it uncomfortable.
We love the comfortable beds and the free beverages in the lobby. The breakfast that comes with the room is very delicious and has a great variety. The location is perfect as you can walk everywhere.

Germanynothing. May be that the tiles in the shower could be a little bit slippery.
We had a studio-room with a kingsize bed. Very comfortable and with a view to the lake. Hotel located top for a one block walk to doentoen Kingston. A very good breakfast included. Car could be parked outside or in the garage. We can recommend the hotel very much. A very convenient shower (not part as a bathtub as usual).

CanadaThe light covering in the bathroom fell on my husbands head within the first 5 mins of entering our room. The bathroom light flickered when turning on. The heating/cooling system was very loud. The pillows were not comfortable. I did not sleep well at all. Parking was not included either.
Outdoor seating area by water was nice to enjoy in the morning and evening. Away from noisy downtown main streets. The coffee was good.

CanadaRoom was a little tired and dated. Otherwise would be perfect.
Rooms are big, spacious, clean, and well equipped. There was complementary weekend breakfast which was surprisingly good. The location of the hotel is great, with nice views right on the waterfront and a short walk to gelato shops and restaurants and sights. Staff very efficient, informative, and helpful.

CanadaI would have liked the option of softer pillows as the ones that were provided were a bit hard. The top drawer on the bedside table doesn’t close properly. It didn’t affect my stay but could cause and accident. Finally, I thought the price of the room was hefty for Kingston but clearly the inn can command it with a captive population arriving for convocation.
Our room was excellent and we were pleased that we could get into it earlier than the normal check in time to allow us to get dressed for our son’s convocation. Breakfast was good, warm and easy to get.the facilities were clean. Our checkout was easy.

CanadaThe local was fantastic and the breakfast was good , but for the price of the room I think the breakfast could be upgraded a bit , fruit platters , And fresh baked goods ? As well you could include parking in your room rates as well makes for an expensive two day stay for our daughter’s graduation.

CanadaDidn't like that there was no carts in the indoor parking in basement. I had to go back up to the front lobby to get a cart to bring to the basement garage. Was difficult to get the cart through the doors to basement parking. Would have been better to unload the car at the roundabout outside the main entrance. Also had difficulty with the parking scanner at the entrance to indoor parking. It was frozen with freezing rain. I pressed the button for help and no one answered. So I had to scrape and clear off the freezing rain from the scanner for it to work as the staff didnt check to see if the scanner was functional and to make sure to clear the ice off the scanner. The morning of our departure, I received a receipt from the hotel by email that the room was charged on my credit card. I was still at the hotel and I didnt even checked-out yet since check out time was at noon. I checked with the clerk at reception and he told me they did not charge the credit card. I paid cash around 930am.. Check out time was noon. So we had time to go for breakfast at the hotel and while we were at breakfast a lady from the hotel went to inspect our room. The clerk at reception didn't ask if we were checking out right away or at noon and indicated gone in the system . During breakfast, we put our coffee and juice at a table and went to get our breakfast. When I returned to the table, the bus boy was clearing our table. I asked what he was doing and he said he was clearing our table and had removed our utensils etc. I told him we haven't even started our breakfast yet and that we just set our coffee at the table so we could get our food. Found the breakfast area disruptive with kids running around the tables. Not very relaxing. The room next to ours was noisy with crying kids in middle of night and morning. Overall, found the young staff to be inattentive.
Really like the one bedroom suite. Room was very clean and comfortable. Liked the location.
