Noise level of other guests, could hear people talking, snoring, tv blaring at night. Also accused of stealing a remote which I did not receive in the first place. Room was extremely dated.

Although the restaurant menu was good, we wish it would have included some local type dishes (none of the restaurants appeared to offer local dishes ...). Although the room had a good-size kitchen, a larger counter would have had better space for the cook-top (placed below when not in use), and a larger table would be preferred since the microwave took up half of it. The parking was a bit tight - along the front of the motel, but more parking was possible off the side street to the Info Centre.

The location was perfect; a short drive from the ferry and a couple of minutes walk to the Tourism Info Centre - which was located near the water with a nice green-area and a paved walking trail around the nearby school field. There were also both a large and a small grocery store in the same area, as well as a couple of restaurants - and others within a short drive. The motel has its own restaurant which we used for breakfast and several other meals because it was convenient. Considering this is a motel, it was quiet in the evenings. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating!!

My room didn’t have a view and was a little small, but this wouldn’t stop me from staying there again. I like how they have planted flowers and shrubs to make the place look good!

This is a family owned business and they are working hard to make everyone comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. They have ripped out all the old carpets from the 1970’s, and replaced it with laminate. The room smelled fresh and clean.

Told to not park in the lot in front of the rooms, but a later guest with a huge white pick up truck parked right in front of our room later in the evening and stayed there all night and morning, making it very difficult for us to load our car up in the morning. Hugely inconsiderate, and we have another reservation there in a few days. Why is this no parking policy not enforced?

Light bulb burned out on wall track light. Sliders to deck work poorly due to lack of maintenance. Decor is an afterthought and from 1970s. Difficult to carry big bags up the stairs.

Rooms and washrooms are dated and could be upgraded. No one was on reception when I got there and had to wait until a local saw me and called the owner.

I was given early check in which was appreciated. I also asked to change room to upper level which they accommodated quickly! Comfortable beds and pillows.

I would recommend the Sea Raven and would stay there again. It met our expectations, clean, friendly staff, not fancy but functional. If you want a resort stay in Haida Gwaii, the Sea Raven may not be for you. But for a layover or a base for exploring, it's great.

Parking is a bit tricky and check-in times don't coordinate well with ferry times. We arrived and had to pay an extra 30 dollars to get into the room after an 8-hour night ferry.

That my booking had disappeared and when I should check out in the morning before my boattrip it was nobody in the office. The staff and I had decided to meet at 7.30 because I should leave my suitcase there cause the boattrip and nobody was there. That wasn't good.

My booking was gone so I almost not got a room but it was one last over luckely enough. I got a good room with a kitchen and bathroom and that was perfekt after the starting problem. SeaRaven Motel is in a beautyful place with a viev over the ocean and it's close to everything in Queen Charlotte Village, thats good!

The ferry was delayed, and I tried to get information about late-check in before leaving Port Arthur. I was simply told it wasn't possible!! Not at all reassuring. When I, several other travellers, and a bus group arrived, it was very dark. We waited in the rain for someone to arrive to check us in, even though the motel had been rung by one of the guests as soon as the ferry docked. My room wasn't very clean - I even found someone elses pill bottle in a drawer! Even though I had the do-not-disturb sign up, someone came in to empty the garbage. But, they didn't give me any extra coffee pods!!

I loved having a coffee maker in my room - I didn't love not being able to get replacement pods during a four-day stay. The room was large, and I loved that I had a little porch I could breakfast on. The beds were comfortable, and the linen nice.

Distant car noise from the highway wasn't always nice, but not terribly intrusive. There was no tv, which some people might want.

The hosts were wonderful, friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room looked out on the golf course and came complete with a deer. The room had plenty of space for storing luggage, etc. Everything was spotless. Outside seating with a table for a glass of wine and a book. was a nice touch. There was access to a refrigerator to put your cooler items. The breakfast had a great selection and they accommodate vegetarian/vegan also. The omelette I had was absolutely delicious.
