There was a large excellent walk in shower, easy to use and lots of hot water. Anti slip floor protection would help along with a wall hand rail to give less mobile guests safety while showering. Bath towels were a little on the small size ,

Super location in a beautiful square near the Old Town and many restaurants and bars; easy access to the train station. Lara on Reception provided an excellent customer service and assistance. The room was well designed, good lighting and bedside controls with plenty of storage in both the bedroom and bathroom. There was even a full length mirror!! The hotel was able to meet our request for storage of medications in hotel fridge and freezer. All the staff were aware; clearly good internal communications. They were also able to meet some specific dietary needs especially lactose free milk.Also liked the convenience of having refrigerator in the room which was also very quiet . Also liked being able to ave a room with a choice of natural ventilation as well as A/C Summing up, the whole hotel concept had been well thought through . Spotlessly clean bedroom & bathroom bedlinen and towels!

Can’t think of a thing!

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We are English-speakers and both staff we encountered spoke English very well. Room was perfect! It had a recent update and there wasn’t a mark anywhere and spotless. Very thoughtfully appointed. Not often you think that there is nothing wrong or lacking, but they seem to have thought of everything! It was a very good value for the area and right on the plaza with lots of restaurants around. The hotel restaurant was exceptional as well. About a 12 minute walk from the train station and roller suitcases are easy on the footpaths. Nicely done!

Our room‘s windows were towards a small courtjard. Whenever somebody in there said or did something, it sounded as if they were standing inside our room. So we had to keep the windows shut especially at night. During our 3-night-stay, breakfast was identical with very little change. Coffee at breakfast was unfortunately from a self-service-machine instead of a „real“ espresso machine.

The staff were very friendly and service oriented. They even took care of a personal favor for me and arranged a surprise decoration for my fiancée‘s birthday. The room was modern and clean.

The hours for the reception were a bit difficult. However, the restaurant people served as much as they could.

The breakfast was okay. But if you came late there was not so much left anymore so be early rather than late. Personal was superb and friendly although we did not always have a common language. My wishes were always taken into account.

Bathroom didn't have any windows or ventilation so there was always a slightly musty smell in the bathroom and bedroom. The hotel has a one leaf eco rating from Booking.com but I'm not sure why. There are so many easy eco wins that they are not taking up, like little commercial aluminium pots of jam and plastic packs of butter at breakfast, when alternatives like self serve from large jars and chunks of butter are so easy to swap in, or that there's no master electricity switch linked to the room key, no policy about keeping or replacing towels.

Gluten free pizza bases available and a discount in the restaurant for hotel guests. Large, well... huge, terrace off our room. Sadly not overlooking the piazza but good to know that room 201 has an enormous terrace if you are at the hotel with a group of friends and might like to socialise together. Room 201 also has a disabled access bathroom. The room was functional with rather cheap looking furniture, but that fits with the price we paid to have a good value room in such a central location, but with the word 'boutique' I was sort of expecting a more 'designed' room. Friendly and helpful staff who organised our Ticino Tickets (free public transport and partner discounts in all of Ticino) with no fuss, and put a kettle in our room, with tea bags, sugar etc when we asked. Were very apologetic that it wasn't there.

I had only one disappointment. The beautiful marble floors in the room felt extremely cold when walking from the bed to the bathroom on bare feet in the night half asleep. I would suggest they offer those cheap hotel slippers like in many other hotels in Europe.

Location was perfect because the hotel was located very close, walking distance to my conference. Furthermore the shopping options were varied and plenty. Breakfast and dinner were good.

Great location, freshly renovated, great staff. Very clean, quiet (our rooms faced the inner courtyard). The hotel restaurant offers 10% discount for hotel guests, food was very good. Breakfast is basic but fresh and tasty. We arrived 1hour earlier and our rooms were already available, we appreciated that. If we visit Locarno again, will choose the same hotel.

There was nothing of great importance that we didn't like about this hotel. A kettle and iron in the room would have been appreciated, but even without l, of course, we had a very pleasant stay.

The location of the hotel was great! Situated on the pretty square reasonably close to the carpark that hotel recommended we use (we were able to pay 19 Swiss Francs instead 57 through the hotel) it is just a short stroll to the lakeside which was busy and the views were stunning! The man who greeted us at reception was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the double bed was very comfortable. The sofa bed was a little less comfortable for our teen but I am sure for a younger/ smaller child would have been great! The bathroom again was very clean and well taken care of. The balcony to our room was very spacious and had a two seats and a small table. Just lovely! I woke early in the morning and was able to sit out on the terrace with a delicious cup of coffee before having a great breakfast with fresh delicious food, eggs and bacon, croissants, buns, cold cuts and cheese, jams, cereal, yoghurt and fruit. Breakfast was served from 07:30 till 10:30. We really enjoyed our overnight stay here and would definitely return again!
